Chapter 6- IMMERSION
If he had ever been shocked in his life then this was the greatest shock in his life because these guys wanted him dead they and according to what they had said five people had come here and had not escaped ."I am in deep trouble", he thought to himself as he regretted ever wearing the Amulet because he would have not reached this place and secondly he was so unfortunate ,it just felt like the universe loved playing jokes with him and this irritated him very much why did he a guy who is reserved and never ever wants to get involved in something terrible or shady always ends up in a pathetic situation like this like damn he fe felt like existence was just angry with him what had possibly done wrong of all people why him he thought to himself.
Naina and the others did not even give a damn about what he thought all they cared about was either he would overcome the five trials and if he did pass the five trials he would be qualified to receive their respect and leave this place bit right now he was in a mess .The 15 looked down on him and he did not blame them no,because if he were in their shoes he would belittle himself."So are you ready Ray Nagisaki",Naina called his voice this time with a hint of utter disdain and disgust which did not go unnoticed."Ahh since tI might die I just want to say my final prayers you know since I am already bound to be erased from the very plane of ",existence he replied."Ok sir let me ",....."Shut up Narduk",replied Sir Waltzberg to the guard."But he is",. "Let him be",Sir Waltzberg replied he knew what Narduk was going to say that he was delaying but Sir Waltzberg did not care about it he knew that if what he was talking was true then he would not be erased but if he were he would die.
After finishing his little prayer he took a deep breath before he jumped into the river.As he neared the river the temperature took a dramatic increase."Darn it can't they decrease the temperature of this river",he thought to himself,the moment his body made contact with the thick viscuous lava he felt the crazy heat and fire and in his mind he had already seen himself as a Dead man already.The saying was true "Dead man truly tell not tales",he thought to himself but it was not the worst part,the worst part was if he failed this test then he would be as good as erased like could you imagine everybody who knew would forget him,yeah although it would be good to be erased from his bully's mind he did not want to be erased from the people close to him consisting of his uncle,neighbours and the few friends like Justin he had.
Alas,he had to bear it all otherwise it would go down the drain.The baboon missed the branches,his luck had no skill the moment his whole body landed in the viscuous lava his body was immersed and no part of his body could be seen."Sir Waltzberg looked at the thick viscuous lava. sighing to himself as an amount of time had passed away but something weird happened after a couple of moments they saw a dude coming aout of the lava shocked like them by what had happened.
Ray was still alive even he could not believe it because he had the same expression they heard and it was unbelief."Impossible",Narduk exclaimed in shock.What he thought was understandable How could such a weak guy have such sheer will power and soul power ,they looked at him speechless."Did I pass?", the confused guy asked the surprised vermillion birds who had been left stupefied by the results.It was not that they did notbelieve that one could pass because the five who preceded him had passed the first trial while others died in the second to the fourth trial but only one entered the fifth trial would decide whether one was the Inheritor or not.This weak dude had passed the first trial.
This is what happened
The moment his whole body was immersed in the lava he felt a very powerful heat and intense temperature because the more immersed he was the more his soul seemed to crack slowly.He had given up hope already but then he remembered what his uncle once said to him "Do not give up on yourself even in the tough times,when you are facing something and when you are at the same time facing against the very chasm of life do not lose hope , remember you may lose everything but you must never lose yourself When his soul was crumbling and breaking down because of the fire that had engulfed his soul.
Right then when he started focusing his energy and understanding a bit about the River of the Holy Original Fire and he felt something odd.This fire when he focused more on the fire the more he got a little used to it .The crack on him started to heal little by little because of how he was fathoming.Instead of being erased he was still alive .At that moment too he saw a dark part of his soul's memories and he used the flames to destroy them and after that he absorbed some of the power in the flames and after sometime he walked out of the river having adapted to it though he did not know that his soul had been strengthened increasing his soul power.
"Yes you did",replied Sir Waltzberg before Naina did and he had a strange expression on his face.After about two minutes of quiteness."How did you do it intruder",asked Sir Waltzberg.Again he had called him intruder darn it he had a name and it was Ray Nagisaki but no matter what he couldn't say anything that would irritated the dude leaving him dead, erased to be precise he now had a fragment of hope but he still knew that at the end of the day his erasure was not too far away..
