Although Kanzou was mildly surprised by Mikoto's strength, everything remained firmly under his control.
Even if she had the power of an Elite Jōnin, she couldn't escape his grasp. After all, Kanzou was the strongest member of the Uchiha clan.
"Mikoto-san, you should be able to see how powerful I am. If I wanted Tadayoshi-sama dead, it wouldn't be difficult at all. And I have every reason to get rid of him… After all, Tadayoshi-sama supports Uchiha Fugaku-san. That alone makes him my enemy. I've already thought about eliminating him, but when I think of you… I feel a bit reluctant—this is one of the reasons I came here… to make my decision… Tell me, Mikoto-san… do you really want me to go through with it?"
Though Kanzou maintained a calm, almost charming expression, his words sounded like the devil's whisper to Mikoto.
"Sofu-sama is an Elder—you wouldn't dare," she replied, her voice tight with anger.
Kanzou's smile deepened. "I was indirectly responsible for the early death of the former Patriarch Uchiha Douma. Do you really think I wouldn't dare to push my blade through Tadayoshi-sama's heart just because he is an Elder?"
"You… you wouldn't be able to escape the consequences…" stuttered out Mikoto, feeling panicked.
"And who'd make me face the consequences? Fugaku? Haven't I already dealt with him once and killed his father? What did he do in response except throw a tantrum and make empty threats? Nothing! What do you think would change a second time? Nothing! He is a man who'd let anyone walk all over him only to make empty threats but not be able to go through with it… And even if he tries, it wouldn't change anything… the difference in our strength is not something he can ever hope to overcome… And except Fugaku… there is no one else… Yes, the truth is… No one in the Uchiha Clan can stop me… You should know this very clearly as Tadayoshi-sama's granddaughter…"
"This…" Those words shattered the last trace of hope in Mikoto's heart… because she knew that every word Kanzou had said was true.
According to what her grandfather had told her, the patriarch's sudden death was indeed linked to Kanzou.
Despite knowing this… no one dared to do anything to Kanzou. Why? Because they were afraid of him!
Fugaku, who might have had some chance of doing anything, has already been defeated by Kanzou once… and even her grandfather, who was already old, wasn't going to be a match for Kanzou either.
If Kanzou dared to make a move on the patriarch, why wouldn't he dare attack the Elder?
Suddenly, Kanzou released Mikoto and turned away.
"Well, that's what I came here to say… and I have said my piece… Now, I'll give you ten seconds to think about it. After that, I'll leave. As I said earlier, I'm not someone who likes to force others… But I just want to remind you that if I walk away today… Tomorrow, you might have to wake up to the corpse of your beloved Sofu-sama… Do you really wish for that to happen? Think about it… No one can help you in this… only you can do it… the decision is in your hands… You are the one to decide the fate of Tadayoshi-sama. With that said… Let's begin the counting… 10… 9… 8…"
His ability to lie with a straight face was unmatched. Kanzou had always been skilled at talking nonsense as if it were the truth.
Still, he knew not to give Mikoto too much time to think. This kind of decision had to be forced.
"7… 6… 5…"
As the counting progressed, Mikoto grew more and more nervous… Even someone as calm as her couldn't really think straight and kept asking herself, 'What to do…? What to do?'
"4… 3… 2—"
Just as Kanzou reached the final count and turned to leave, Mikoto suddenly grabbed his hand, "Wait…"
Kanzou grinned, his smile brazen and unrestrained, "So, what decision did you reach?"
"I promise you," nodded Mikoto as tears slipped from the corners of her eyes. Her expression was so pitiful that anyone with a softer heart might have reconsidered.
But Kanzou was not someone who showed mercy.
He has long since become ruthless to the bones—and he would never let her go just because she appeared pitiful.
Mercy to the enemy is cruelty to yourself… he has experienced this through a hard lesson in his youth, and he wasn't going to repeat it.
At the moment, Mikoto is an enemy as she is part of the enemy camp… Fugaku's camp.
Until she switched over to his camp, there was no way he was going to show an ounce of mercy to her.
"A wise decision…" Kanzou chuckled as he lifted Mikoto up in a princess carry and closed the door of the house behind him, carrying her toward her own bedroom.
…
Nearly an hour later, Kanzou emerged from Mikoto's bedroom, fully dressed but with a refreshed expression and an ear-to-ear grin as he stuffed a piece of black fabric with three holes in it into the pockets of his pants under the scrutinizing and disgusted gaze of the woman to whom it belonged.
"What do you want to do with that?" she asked, looking disgusted at the thought of letting him take that.
"Of course, it's a trophy…" chuckled Kanzou while thinking to himself, 'It might come in handy in the future…'
Mikoto clenched her fists at his action and his words, but was helpless and followed behind with an equally composed face and neat clothes.
It's just that she was only composed on the outside, covered by her neat and clean clothes.
Underneath her clothes, it was a different story.
Her unsteady posture, her stiff movements, her trembling body, the white fluids tracing along her thighs because of the absence of the fabric—that would have been there normally but was no longer there because Kanzou had stuffed it into his pocket—were a few signs to suggest the true picture of what had happened in the bedroom in the past hour.
But Mikoto couldn't care about all that at the moment.
As Kanzou began to step out, she called after him in a restrained voice, "Remember what you promised me. Don't hurt Sofu-sama."
Her parents had died when she was young, and it was her grandfather who had raised her.
He was her only remaining family.
"That," Kanzou said with a smirk, "depends on how well you behave from now on."
He glanced at her casually. "Today's performance… didn't exactly impress me."
Although seeing Mikoto's beautiful body in a bare state, fucking her, and leaving hickey's on her body as a mark of his ownership over her felt good, her lack of cooperation left Kanzou rather unsatisfied.
She acted more like a doll who had given up than someone who was actively pleasing and serving him… and that was unacceptable to him.
He wanted her to devote herself to him… serve him with all her heart.
"You—" Mikoto wanted to beat him up for complaining after he had done so many vile and shameful things to her, but before she could do so, Kanzou had already disappeared, leaving her behind in the empty hallway of her house.
Utterly lost, Mikoto collapsed against the wall as the tears she was trying her best to hold back for the past few hours came flooding out, "What am I supposed to do now…?"
Her dignity had been torn apart by Kanzou, and what happened today had completely shattered her sense of self-worth.
Worse still was her current position—how could she ever face Fugaku?
Marriage between them was now out of the question.
…
Mikoto's emotional turmoil was of no concern to Kanzou. He had neither the time nor the interest to ponder what was going on in her heart.
He wasn't worried that she'd blabber about what they had done… doing so would only tarnish her own dignity.
But even if she did, Kanzou wouldn't care… rather, he'd be happy as she'd be throwing mud on Fugaku's face…'
'Well, now onto the more important matters…' shaking his head, Kanzou focused on the System.
"System, report the rewards again."
While he had received a system notification during the act, Kanzou had been too focused to check it at the time.
[Ding — Congratulations to the Host! Rewards received: Mangekyō Sharingan, Evil Value +50,000]
"Bloody hell... That's a massive haul."
Kanzou was stunned by the massive reward.
He had managed to earn 5000 points from Douma's death, but the reward from that wasn't even a fraction of what he gained this time.
The one thing Kanzou desired most—Mangekyō Sharingan—was now his, along with 50,000 evil points.
Earning it through Mikoto had left him unsettled. He had never imagined acquiring the Mangekyō Sharingan in such a way. It felt surreal.
'I might have cracked the cod–!'
But his thoughts were broken by a surge of terrifying, overwhelming visual prowess that flooded into his eyes, followed by a sharp, piercing pain.
It didn't last long—but the sheer force of it was unforgettable.
When the pain faded, Kanzou felt the terrifying surge of power settle into his vision. Compared to the Three Tomoe Sharingan, this was on a whole different level—his visual prowess had increased by dozens of times.
Not only had Kanzou's visual prowess evolved, but his chakra had also surged significantly.
Originally on the verge of reaching Kage-level, Kanzou had now fully crossed that threshold. He was no longer a contender—he was a true Kage-level powerhouse. And with the addition of the Mangekyō Sharingan, his combat strength placed him among the elite even within that tier.
"I wonder what kind of ocular Jutsu I've awakened…"
It didn't take him long to figure it out.
"The technique of my right eye is called Tsukuyomi... and the one in my left eye, it's called Amenotokotachi?"
Kanzou's right eye awakened Tsukuyomi, one of the highest calibres of Genjutsu. With it, he could drag an enemy's consciousness into a Genjutsu realm where everything—time, space, gravity, and sensation—was controlled by the caster.
Just making eye contact with his Mangekyō Sharingan was enough to trigger it. There was no way to Military Police Force against it.
And… the technique in his right eye, Amenotokotachi—it's truly far more terrifying than Tsukuyomi.
If Tsukuyomi allowed him the ability to control time in the Genjutsu space, then Amenotokotachi gave him some degree of control over time in reality.
It allowed him to halt time itself. The duration of this pause depended on the amount of chakra expended and the strength of his visual prowess.
This visual technique was nearly invincible—its only drawback was its massive chakra consumption.
In addition to these two eye techniques, Kanzou now had access to Susanoo—a visual Jutsu that could be summoned as long as the Mangekyō Sharingan in both eyes was activated.
Susanoo was a symbol of absolute destruction. It was said that those who witnessed it rarely lived to tell the tale.
"This time, the reward is immense… and for that, I have to thank you, Mikoto-san," Kanzou muttered with a smile.
What Kanzou craved above all else was power—the ability to control and dominate everything. Compared to that, women, wealth, and influence were secondary.
For nineteen years, Kanzou had focused solely on training. He had tried everything to grow stronger—so much so that he never spared time for interacting with women beyond a superficial level.
And he wasn't planning to change his objective all that much…
"Even though I've awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and broken through to Kage-level, it's still not enough," Kanzou muttered to himself.
He couldn't ignore the major flaw of the Mangekyō Sharingan—progressive blindness.
The only known way to overcome this side effect was to evolve it into the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, which required transplanting the Mangekyō Sharingan of a sibling.
But Kanzou had no siblings. In fact, he had no true blood relatives at all.
That meant the only hope of attaining the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan lay with the system.
Until that evolution became possible, Kanzou knew he had to be extremely cautious with how often he used his Mangekyō Sharingan.
He couldn't afford to abuse it.
