Previously...
The Saiyan blood coursed hot in your veins.
Breath ragged, muscles trembling, you pushed through another set of gravity-defying sit-ups. Suspended upside down, feet anchored to the ceiling, your body strained under the crushing weight of 100x gravity.
"Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-six..."
Beside you, Goku mirrored your effort.
"Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-seven..."
Sweat rained from his face, splattering onto the cold metal floor below.
Ngh... Almost there. Just push through it...
"Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-eight."
"Nine thousand nine hundred ninety-nine."
The next rep wasn't just another number. It was the finish line—the threshold to unlocking the next level of gravity training.
Goku exhaled sharply. "Man... this is tough. I don't know if I can go further."
Your arms trembled, but your eyes narrowed. Weakness is not an option.
"We have to hit ten thousand, Kakarot. Once we do, we can crank the gravity to 110x."
"Alright..." Goku nodded, eyes burning with Saiyan fire. "On the count of three."
You both drew in one last breath.
"One."
"Two."
"Three!!"
As one, your torsos snapped upward, muscles flexing against the weight of a collapsing planet.
"TEN THOUSAND!"
The ropes released. Both of you collapsed onto the gravity chamber floor, gasping for air, hearts pounding like war drums in your chest. For a full minute, the only sound was your ragged breathing.
Then—
A voice crackled through the chamber walls, breaking the moment.
"Um, hello?!"
Your body shot up, instincts snapping into gear. A fighting stance came naturally, eyes scanning for threats.
"Kakarot," you muttered, eyes narrowed, "there's a ghost on the ship. I don't sense any energy signature."
The voice scoffed. "I'M NOT A GHOST, YOU MUSCLE-BRAINED IDIOT."
Goku sat up, wiping sweat from his brow.
"Relax, Rykon. That's King Kai."
Your brow furrowed. "King... what?"
"I'll explain later." Goku smiled, waving toward the ceiling. "Hey, King Kai! What's up?"
The voice came back, annoyed. "Oh, just peachy! Training your annoying Earth friends, getting no rest—but that's not why I'm calling."
Your eyes sharpened. "What is it?"
"There's someone else on Namek," King Kai warned. "An evil tyrant named Frieza. The emperor of the universe. You two need to stay far away from him. He's way out of your league."
At the name Frieza, your heart froze for just a second.
Your fists clenched tight, nails biting into skin.
"Frieza..." The word left your lips like venom. "What the hell is that bastard doing on Namek?"
Goku's eyes flicked toward you, his voice soft but curious. "Wait… isn't that the guy you told me about? The one who—"
"Destroyed my home. Killed my family."
And I've been waiting a long time to pay him back...
Goku grinned, unfazed. "Sounds like a strong opponent! Hey—we'll take turns, okay?"
A smirk tugged at the corner of your lips. "Heh. Fine by me."
The two of you bumped fists, twin sparks of battle spirit crackling between your knuckles.
King Kai's voice shot back like a thunderclap. "NO! YOU BUFFOONS! Didn't you hear me?! Frieza will KILL you! Stay AWAY from him!"
But Goku's eyes gleamed with reckless excitement. Yours with long-simmering vengeance.
The Saiyan way was simple.
Run toward the fight. Not away.
An Hour Later—Planet Namek
The green jewel of Namek swelled in the window as the ship descended. Clouds parted like curtains before the emerald world.
We're here.
Your body still ached from training, but there was no time to rest.
"Brother," you said, eyes locked on the horizon, "get the senzu beans ready."
Goku tossed you a small bean.
"I'm not hungry, Kakarot. What's this for?"
"Senzu bean," he said with a grin. "Heals everything."
He popped one into his mouth, and the fatigue vanished from his face like mist burned away by the sun.
You followed, chewing the bitter bean. Power returned in a surge. Bones knitted. Muscles healed.
"Amazing…"
Namek—The Battlefield
A bloodied Gohan staggered toward Krillin, his breath coming in ragged gasps.
"This guy... he's too strong," he coughed.
Krillin clenched his teeth. "Hang on, Gohan! We just need to buy time! Goku and Rykon are almost here."
Recoome laughed, his monstrous grin stretching unnaturally wide.
"Awww, you done already? I was just gettin' started!"
His knee slammed into Gohan's gut with brutal precision. Blood sprayed from Gohan's lips, but he bit back the scream.
Saiyan pride... I won't cry...
Krillin screamed for his friend, powerless to stop what was coming.
Recoome licked his lips. "Let's shut you up for good."
But then—
BEEP. BEEP.
Burter and Jeice's scouters pinged simultaneously.
Burter squinted. "Jeice, you see that?"
"Yeah, mate. Looks like a ship's landing. Probably just tourists."
They laughed, oblivious.
Impact
A hiss of pressurized air.
The ship's hatch opened.
Two massive energies rocketed out, breaking the sound barrier.
Gohan's eyes fluttered open.
"It's... Dad. And Uncle Rykon…"
Goku POV
Fresh air filled my lungs as I stepped out onto Namek's soil.
Finally.
But before I could even stretch, Rykon blasted off ahead.
"Hey, wait up!" I called, but he was already gone, streaking across the sky.
Even pushing myself, I struggled to catch up.
His energy is fierce right now…
I focused, locking onto the fading signals ahead.
"Gohan… hang in there!"
Rykon POV
The wind whipped past my ears, the planet's atmosphere tearing around my body as I flew.
A Frieza soldier appeared in my path, raising a blaster.
"HEY! You can't go any further—"
My ki blade flashed.
His head fell before the rest of his body hit the ground.
Move or die. I have people to save.
The Battlefield
I landed in front of Gohan and Krillin.
"Kakarot! Toss me a senzu! And one for Krillin!"
He obeyed without question.
I placed the bean in Gohan's mouth, his wounds vanishing in a breath.
"Uncle Rykon… you're here…"
His small arms wrapped around me. I hugged him back, gently.
"It's alright now. I've got you."
Gohan's eyes sparkled with tears. "Thank you… but—Krillin!"
"Your father's got him." I smiled, watching Goku hand Krillin his senzu bean.
Behind me, Vegeta lay in the dirt, barely clinging to consciousness.
I walked over, a smirk playing on my lips.
"Well, well... Prince Vegeta. What a pathetic state."
His eyes glared up at me, burning with frustration.
"Eat this," I said, tossing him a senzu. "Wouldn't want you missing the fun."
Vegeta snatched it from my hand, his body surging back to life.
Zenkai boost, huh? Good for you, Prince.
But his pride still stung.
It's killing him to see us stronger…
Vegeta gritted his teeth. "Low-class scum…"
I waved a hand lazily. "Someone needs to get off their period."
"WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
I ignored him, flying back to Kakarot.
The Ginyu Force
Recoome flexed. "Aww, family reunion time, huh? Guess I'll crash the party."
He began to charge his ultimate move.
"Recoome... Ultra... Fighting... BOMB—!"
A crack echoed.
Goku's elbow caved Recoome's chest in with a single strike.
The giant collapsed, life leaving his eyes.
Burter and Jeice screamed.
I appeared before them in a blur.
"Run," Goku warned, voice cold. "Or you'll end up like him."
Burter sneered. "Lucky shot!"
I turned away, uninterested.
"They're not worth my time."
But as I walked, my tail snapped out, slamming into Jeice's jaw. He spiraled into the lake with a splash.
Goku glanced at me. "I thought you said they weren't worth it."
I shrugged. "My tail has a mind of its own."
Jeice emerged, rage in his eyes. "YOU DAMN APE!"
He lunged, but Goku caught him mid-punch.
Burter tried to flank Goku, but Kakarot caught both of them, slamming their heads together before blasting them away.
Vegeta
A sudden ki blast cut through the sky, vaporizing Burter on the spot.
"NOPE," Vegeta sneered, stepping forward. "I don't do second chances."
Goku frowned. "Vegeta! That wasn't necessary!"
"Spare me the lecture," Vegeta snapped. "You two think you're the legendary Super Saiyan, huh?"
The words hit like thunder.
Super Saiyan...?
Memories flickered—Ruccollo ranting about legends you never believed.
But something stirred in your blood.
Vegeta's eyes narrowed.
"Frieza has the Dragon Balls. He'll wish for immortality. We're all dead anyway."
Krillin piped up nervously. "Actually, I don't think he has yet."
Vegeta blinked. "What?"
"If he summoned the dragon, the sky would've turned black. We would've noticed."
Frieza POV
In his ship, Frieza watched the footage with narrowed eyes.
A tail flicked across the screen.
"A brown, fuzzy tail?"
He sneered.
"I thought I exterminated you monkeys…"
He crossed his legs, eyes gleaming with cruel delight.
"Well then. If you want something done right…"
His smile widened, voice cold as space.
"Time to do it myself. Ohhh ho ho ho ho…"
