Chapter 11 Kaylee's Love Story

She was an unmarried woman, who got abandoned by her boyfriend after getting pregnant with his baby. She made a mistake, and that mistake might bring a shame on her family, and damage her family's respectful reputation.

As the priest pronounced them man and wife, they had become lawful man and wife. But she was just marrying for covering up the mistake that she made, when she was young and stupid.

Gentleman: This was my parents' room where you'll be staying. Will it be okay for you?

Kaylee: Mm-hmm.

They had become lawful man and wife, but they hadn't been ready for being together, because they just met each other for a couple of days. They slept in separate room, but they dined together at the same table.

Gentleman: Tomorrow, I'll get anything you want to stock the kitchen.

Kaylee: I don't really know how to cook. I mean I could, but I haven't really tried. I can cook a fair bit. I can get a book from the liberty.

She tried to help with the household, but the gentleman tried to take good care of her and take good care of their future baby.

Kaylee: I was just wondering, why you agreed to this.

Gentleman: When the reverend came out to see me, and told me about your situation. Well, I thought…I thought maybe it'd be God's will.
