Chapter 62 - Farewell to Jarilo-VI

At the dining table, everyone was cheerfully eating the "sumptuous" dishes. This was a delicacy personally prepared by Sebas, the butler and medical officer of Qlipoth Fort, something ordinary people would never get to taste.

"Mmm! So yummy! Aren't you eating, Big Sister March 7th?" Hook chewed on the "soft" bread, her innocent, wide eyes looking at the troubled March 7th beside her.

"Er... Big Sis isn't hungry. Hook, you eat first," March said, forcing a smile as she patted Hook's little head.

Although it was much better than the food in the Underworld, it was indeed... not as good as she had imagined.

Dan Heng expressionlessly ate a piece of what was supposed to be cake. All he could say was that it was edible, but one shouldn't get their hopes up.

"Ah-nom-nom..."

Stelle, with her lightning needle removed, ate with hollow eyes, as if she had lost her sense of taste.

Waaaaah... I want to go back to the Express... March cried internally, but on the surface, she had to force herself to finish this delicious meal.

After dinner, the group began to discuss various matters in Qlipoth Fort. March and Hook played together below, while Clara was pulled into the adults' conversation by Natasha.

After all, she represented the Robot Settlement, and there were some things she needed to hear.

Qlipoth Fort was divided into three groups: the adult faction led by Natasha and Bronya; the kids' faction, as Wende called it, consisting of the playing Hook and March, and the recently unsealed Stelle; and the rest, which was Dan Heng meditating with his eyes closed, and Wende, who seemed to be looking for something.

"That's weird. Could the Silvermane Guards have confiscated it as evidence?"

Wende wore a puzzled expression, his eyes scanning the cabinets and tables inside Qlipoth Fort.

"Guest, may I ask if you are looking for something?"

Sebas, who was on standby, seemed to notice Wende's search and proactively approached to ask.

"Oh, old butler, have you seen a round container with some kind of liquid inside?"

Wende gestured, mimicking the shape of the container that had held Himeko's coffee.

That was a container capable of holding Himeko's coffee. If he lost it, he'd have to go to the Herta Space Station to buy another one.

He had spent quite a few credits to buy it from a merchant back then. That merchant had mysteriously told him the container was some kind of Curio and tried to jack up the price, but after some intense haggling from Wende, he managed to buy it for only a thousand credits.

"Er... is the guest referring to... that?"

Sebas paused, then pointed a finger towards Stelle in the distance. The container in her hand was so familiar, and it seemed Stelle thought it was some kind of beverage, as she was lifting the container to her lips.

"......My apologies. It's not needed anymore."

Wende covered his head, speaking to the old butler with some embarrassment.

Thump... (The sound of Stelle collapsing)

Clang! (The sound of the container falling to the ground)

"STELLE!" (March 7th's cry of alarm)

Why did the coffee suddenly appear in Stelle's hands instead of being strictly guarded by the Silvermane Guards as the poison used to harm the Great Guardian?

Let's rewind the timeline.

Although Cocolia had fainted after drinking the delicious coffee, the liquid inside didn't spill. The container activated its liquid protection device and rolled onto the floor.

At that time, because the corrupted person had lost consciousness, the Stellaron had no choice but to take control of Sebas and forbid all Silvermane Guards from entering Qlipoth Fort.

Because of this, the canister of coffee remained undiscovered in a corner.

In truth, the place where the container had rolled was very hidden; an ordinary person would never have found it. But this was Stelle...

And so, due to her itchy fingers, Stelle had proactively pressed "F."

"So, they just left like that?"

Watching the blue trail of light in the sky, Seele murmured to Bronya beside her.

"Yeah... I didn't expect it to be this way... But it's good that everyone was here. I guess it counts as a farewell," Bronya said, the corner of her eye twitching. Was this... really okay?

"......"

Natasha supported her forehead, unable to watch.

"Big Sister Serval, why did Trailblazer Big Sis suddenly faint?" Clara asked Serval with a confused look.

"Er... maybe, possibly, perhaps... Trailblazer Big Sis isn't accustomed to the local environment," Serval concocted a flimsy excuse to fool the innocent Clara, while thinking to herself:

Cocolia, your defeat was not in vain!

[I can't take it anymore! I was wrong about you, this really is a space comedy!]

[LMAO, I'm dying of laughter!]

[A world where only the MC gets hurt has been achieved!]

[So why did she have to press F with her itchy fingers?!]

[True, I've seen other people's playthroughs where they get to say goodbye to everyone one by one. But this one? Just skips the farewell and goes straight back!]

[To be fair, while I hate long goodbyes, I really, really did not see this coming!]

[Cocolia: Why are you down here with me?]

[LMAO, I suggest this chapter be renamed "The Tragedy Caused by a Cup of Coffee."]

[Coffee: It began with me, and it ends with me.]

[Damn, the Herrscher of Coffee, is that it?!]

Antarctic Bear Takes Arctic Goose for a Walk stared at the CG playing on her screen. For some reason, the coffee she had just brewed suddenly didn't smell so good anymore.

"This... this is just too dramatic... Even if it's an easter egg, who would have thought that shiny spot would be a cup of Himeko's coffee, hey!!!"

Almost all the players with itchy fingers ended their first chapter in Belobog prematurely. They never even got to say goodbye to their favorite characters! Now... all they could do was watch someone else's playthrough where they didn't drink the coffee (tragic).

"You're back. How was the trip to Jarilo-VI... What's... wrong with Stelle?"

Himeko, waiting in the observation car, was completely bewildered seeing Stelle being carried back by Dan Heng and March.

"Er... it's not a big problem. I can solve it."

Feeling the resentful glares from March and Dan Heng behind him, Wende said awkwardly to Himeko.

"Mm..."

Welt looked at Stelle's multi-colored face and silently pushed up his glasses. It seemed he knew what had happened.

"Ah, this... well then, let's wait for Stelle to wake up before we debrief on the Jarilo-VI Trailblaze Mission..."

Looking at the unconscious Stelle, Himeko sighed and rubbed her forehead. Had the food safety on Jarilo-VI really reached such a critical state? It seemed she had to call Asta and have her get the Corporation to help this poor planet sooner.
