Chapter 4: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING

They got home late that evening, almost everyone was asleep. Hearing galloping, horse neighing as they approached the village were Alexander was adopted in their care.

"Father! they are back" Lily called out as she stood out in the cold with a wool blanket all around her.

"We were worried" "Where did you both ran off to?" Lily asked looking at her Grandmother who was still on the horse's back.

"Child...i took him to the cave" "The boy had so many questions so i had to" said the old woman as she was dismounted from the horseback.

Alexander didn't say a word to anyone as they arrived. "I'm going to bed now" he said softly as he left them around the fire which kept them warm for that late evening.

"He looks worried and sad, like something really happened in there back in the cave?" Lily asked as they watched him leaving them to go in to sleep. "Granny Ama, did anything terrible happen when you both were in the cave?" Lily asked curiously this time as she rubbed her palms together the intentions of chasing off the cold.

"My child...I wish i knew but what ever it may be we are surely here to support him" Granny Ama said slowly as she tries to avoid eye contact. It is said Lily was gifted from the gods from birth and reading minds through gazing at the face was one of her special gifts.

Alexander couldn't just close his eyes to sleep now. His mind were" in and out" off his quests already. Pacing unconsciously back and forth in the room when Lily suddenly entered the room " Are you alright Alex?" "Care to share what the problem is?" she said as she reached for the bed then she sat "Stop Alex, sit...please" "...Sit" she said softly, looking straight into those eyes of his to seek the problem but it seems for the first time she just couldn't find anything. She said again "Sit...with me" she softly pulled him to her body as her intentionally placed her breasts on his chest. Alexander could obviously feel the hardest of her nipples. She gently pushed him to the bed and pressed her lips tightly onto his upper lip.

Now it felt like falling from the sky but you are not bothered if you would fall and break or not, you just keep falling and falling. It was like falling and floating at the same time.

Lily took off her dress slowly as Alexander watched it drop to the floor.

Alexander couldn't just keep his gaze off her breasts. "Lily...they're... b-beautiful" he said anxiously. It was like the night won't just end.

Lily's head was on Alexander's chest as he supported his own head with his arm. "Alex?" she said softly as she lifted her head to look at him as she spoke. " What happened in the cave when you went in?" " What did you see?" she curiously asked gazing at his lips and eyes. "Alex...don't lie to me...don't" she said this time with a very serious tone.

"I was not going to lie to you Lily, I wouldn't have...trust me" he chuckled nervously as he said. "Umm! alright, alright!" " I will tell you" he said has he exhaled sharply.

"You better...i need to hear everything" "I meant don't leave any single detail off the table" she said playfully tying to open his mouth to make him talk immediately. "Calm down Lily...fine i will talk" he said as they both chuckled. "I-I met my father" he said "Then you should be very excited to see him, right?" she said gazing into his eyes trying to read him through. " Yes i was...excited at the moment but there was something he told me that got me worried, thinking since i got back from the cave." he said looking back at her. "What was that your father said?" she asked again. "He talked about the golden statue... Thraba'am?" "Something like that..." he concluded.

"Thraba'am the golden statue of the three snake goddesses?" she asked in suprise "Yes! that's the one" he said nodding. "He said i should look for the two witches of the dark...that they both have the answers i do seek" he said. "Meruka and Yenrim trade knowledge for something that would cost you so much" she said as she worries for him. " And you think that i care?" "If you had to go live in what i went through as a child you would understand where i am coming from" he said shaking his head in disagreement. She suddenly watched him get angry as he wore on his garments. "Alex, everyone has had to go through so much in their lives" "life is not what we think it is, it's different every second" she said softly as she held his hands while they both gazed at each-other while this conversation was going on.

"Yes, you might be right but we all have to turn the wheels if we have to" he said as he stood up to leave the room. Lily grabbing him by the hand as he stood up to leave, then she said to him "Is all these...are they worth it, Alex?" she tried to ask. "YES, it's worth everything and even anything too" he said as he forcefully pulled off his hand from her palm to leave the room.

Lily was now left all alone, she sat on the bed half-naked. She held the blanket way-up half her breasts. She watched him leave, she gazed at the door even when no one was even there. No one behind or inside but she still stared at the door with no ulterior motive. Lily now glanced at the floor for a while in thoughts, then later on she wept silently.

It was believed that Alexander was making a very terrible mistake. It was said his decisions were so "Young and hasty". Granny Ama believes it was Alexander's fate but he should follow with caution. Lily at the other hand has fallen for him, it was love at first sight not lust they said. She won't want him get into trouble, she tried to conceive him not to leave their village. Because she knew he would go on this quest and she might not see him again. At this point she did not mind if she was selfish or not, she just wanted them to live in her village for how long"life keeps them". She wanted them together, maybe get married, have their own family.

Lily was the village chief's eldest daughter. Too much was so expected of her. But she was going to break those rules, maybe run away with Alexander if she was never allowed to fulfill her own heart desires. Trust me when i say this Lily was as even more stubborn than Alexander as in she would not stop still she got all she wants. You can agree with me Granny Ama and Lily had something in common about Alexander's quest, they both believed he was about..."selling his soul to the devil".

Alexander was so desperate, he could do anything and everything just to get his revenge. You know what they say happens when you shake hands with the Devil. At this point he was going to do anything and everything just to get his own "pound of flesh" his enemies has some debts and he will surely make all of them pay...at all cost, that's to say at anything cost. He was going to make every one of them pay.

"A man who thinks he has nothing to loose can give everything just to get what he needs".
