Chapter 6: Blood Awakening
For days after the awakening of his telekinetic power, Patrick remained silent — eyes fixed on the old scroll Min had given him.
Then one morning, Min summoned him into the training cave — the oldest chamber of the Bloodmoon fortress ruins. The air was heavy with old spells, long-shed blood, and secrets buried beneath silence.
Min knelt before a small, stone pedestal and placed three objects:
– a black scroll bound in red bone,
– a crystal vial of dark red liquid,
– and a rusted sigil of the Bloodmoon.
"This," Min said, "is the path to Blood Energy. Few ever survive the full process. Even fewer master it."
Patrick's gaze was steady. "I'm ready."
Min handed him the scroll.
Inside it read:
---
The Way of Blood Energy: The Path of the Undying Vein
1. Open the Eight Veins of Essence.
– Sit in silence. Breathe slowly.
– Visualize the Eight Blood Gates in your body: Crown, Heart, Solar Plexus, Navel, Spine, Palms, and Feet.
– With every breath, send intent to each point, unlocking them one after the other.
2. Sink into the Soul Sea.
– After unlocking the gates, descend into your own soul.
– Find the Mirror of Self, where your truest pain, desire, and memories lie.
– Only when you face yourself fully will the mirror break.
3. Bleed the Mirror.
– When the Mirror of Self breaks, it draws out your soul's energy in the form of Blood Liquid — thick, glowing crimson essence.
4. Condense the Blood Liquid.
– Absorb it into your veins. Let it circulate.
– This becomes your Blood Energy Core — different from normal qi. Darker. Heavier. Deadlier.
– From this point on, your blood is your weapon.

Patrick followed the process for days, then weeks.
He broke through.
In one violent surge, the Mirror of Self shattered — and from his soul rose a stream of blood, hovering in the air like a living force. It burned into his skin, rushed through his veins, and rewrote his core.
Min was watching from afar. He didn't speak — but his eyes were wide.
Patrick stood. His aura pulsed with a red haze.
Then something new happened.
With a shout, Patrick extended his hand — and from his palm, a thin beam of bloodlight shot forward, burning through stone like butter.
Min whispered, "Blood Laser…"
Patrick turned, and with another motion, his aura condensed into a long, jagged crimson blade in his hand.
Blood Sword.
And when he raised it to the air, his arm caught fire — but it wasn't normal flame. It was deep red, flickering like boiling blood.
Blood Flame.
Min stepped forward and placed a hand on Patrick's shoulder.
"Now," he said. "You're ready to carry Alan's legacy."
