I wasn’t the best hacker or even the best when it came to navigating the dark web. However, I’d been instructed by some of the best; I’d honed those skills, taking what I’d been taught and getting better over time. When I’d had power—power that came with a name—I’d had men, others who did my bidding. After all, a ruler wasn’t expected to do everything himself.
Yeah, I wasn’t a ruler now, not even close.
The saying said that necessity was the mother of invention. No men and no army necessitated my skills, baptism by fire. While I wouldn’t be considered the best at hacking and navigating the dark web, I was far from the worst.
Towel drying my hair, I lathered on deodorant, wrapped the towel around my waist, and stepped into the bedroom and beyond.
