“I don’t want to leave you,” I said honestly.
“Please listen.”
Tears filled my eyes as Greyson laid out the ugly truth. Neither of us knew if it was indisputable. What he said was the truth as he saw it. He explained how his evidence was circumstantial. However, as he laid out the timeline of my abduction, the pieces fit. It all pointed to my uncle Dante. Greyson had found one item of interest, one he hadn’t mentioned until just now.
“Did you know about the ransomware attack on Dellinger?”
My eyebrows knit together as I furrowed my forehead. “When? Since I was taken?”
“No. I found a small article in the Wall Street Journal. It wasn’t picked up by any other news organization.”
“My father always says the Wall Street Journal hates our family.”
“It was interesting that the paper the kidnappers had you hold was the Wall Street Journal.”
