Chapter 6: Amore Seraphina

"You will be called Amore Seraphina Waze," Ms. Gale stated.

They arrived in the mortal world, currently briefing information she would use.

"Isn't it too long?"

"Amore Seraphina would be your name. In this world, we had surnames or family names, and that would be Waze."

She nodded.

Ms. Gale gave her some folders. Unknown to her, she took it yet stared at it like it would answer.

"That is called a folder, it is like an arcane scroll."

Her lips parted, amazed about the thing she holds.

"That contains information that you need to learn about Sera's life."

She looked at Ms. Gale with a questioning look, "Sera?"

Ms. Gale touched her chin, trying to find an explanation. "Sera would be your nickname… it is like a personal title given by friends and such," she hardly explained, even she cannot fully explain it very well.

But, Sera hesitatedly nodded, not fully understanding what nickname was.

Ms. Gale gave another thing to Sera. "This is a cellphone, it is like an arcane lens but not magically powered."

She took it, looking at different sides. "Does it work like an arcane lens too?"

"Yes."

Sera who is called smart and powerful in the Aetheria can be finally called dumb in this world.

Without any warning, she unleashed water in her hands, trying to power on the cellphone.

Ms. Gale was too stunned to speak. She never thought that a Beta would be like this in this world.

"It wasn't working," she innocently said, clueless about what she did.

Ms. Gale sighed hard, thankfully she bought a water-resistant phone. "I told you, it wasn't magically powered. And, it wouldn't work that way," she explained, demonstrating to the Beta on how to turn on the cellphone.

After a thorough demonstration of using a cellphone. Sera mastered the basic use of the device.

"You are getting the hang of it," Ms. Gale said. "Anyway, besides that device, you need to learn those devices." She pointed out to the devices in the side of the room.

She walked forward to it, carefully touching those devices. "What is this square-like device? And, is this a larger version of the cellphone?"

Ms. Gale came closer. "This is called a computer and this is called a laptop," she pointed out to the square-like devices, then shifted her point finger to the larger version of the cellphone. "This is called an Ipad."

Sera gently nodded. "Do they work like cellphones too?" She placed her hands on those devices.

But, Ms. Gale, who got slightly trauma on how the Beta tried to power on a cellphone earlier, immediately holds the young woman's hands. "Please, in this world, any devices would not power on by using our power. So, don't use it," she calmly begged. "These devices are not waterproofed… and they are too expensive," she added.

The Beta innocently looked at her, and pouted. "I am sorry."

"It is okay." Ms. Gale smiled. "We will learn about these devices some other time." She goes back to the desk with huge books.

"Here's the books you need to learn about the country we would go to, it is called The Philippines."

"How about their language?"

Ms. Gale took one book. "This is a book containing basic knowledge about their language. There's another person who would teach you about it."

Sera nodded.

"Also, this folder contains information about the university you will go to."

"University? Is it a castle?"

"Hmm… it is like an Aetherium," Ms. Gale simply explained, nothing more can be used to explain it other than comparing things in their world.

"Ohh… why would I need to study? I completed it already in the Aetherium."

"A mortal human who is the same age as you is still going to university… you know, learning things."

"What things?" she innocently asked.

Ms. Gale puts her fingers in her chin and narrows her eyes, trying to think what to use to simply explain it. However, she cannot find any way to explain what things are. "Just things that they need to live their life in this world," she smiled, hoping that Sera would easily understand it.

However, she didn't get the gist of it nor even truly understand it. What things?

She really is not that smart in this world.

After a month of sleepless and deep studying about everything she needs to know.

After a many times does Ms. Gale slapped her face and sighed because of frustration in teaching the Beta.

After a few times Sera's other instructor got distressed.

They finally did teach Sera the basic way of life in this world.

However, they are also surprised and amazed how the young woman learned most of it in a span of a month. Not everyone can do it.

Now, Sera is already confident enough to blend with the mortal humans.

Just enough not to be called dumb in this world.

Just enough to make people not notice that she's definitely out of this world.

Just enough to do her mission.

"Are you ready, Beta Aella?"

They are preparing to leave and start the mission.

It's the day they would go to that country.

Aella playfully said, "Call me Sera."

Both of them laughed.

While on the journey, Sera cannot restrict herself to not be amazed yet sad at the same time on how the outside life of mortal humans look like.

It is really different from their world. It is too crowded, too noisy.

Buildings are everywhere.

She can barely see a tree.

"We're here now."

She was given some Epsilons to join her as a driver, maid, and a cook.

Well, after all, she cannot drive, clean, and cook. She would definitely die before she completed her mission.

Ms. Gale would be her guardian.

She roamed her eyes to the house. It wasn't that huge as a castle, already enough to uphold her made-up status as an heiress of a giant company in another country.

"Rest for now. Tomorrow, we will go to your university."

"Thank you, Ms. Gale. Have a good rest too."

Tomorrow is the official start of the mission.
