Chapter 4 – You Wanted Meat? Here’s a Feast

"HAGEMARU! GO STAND IN FRONT OF THE CARRIAGES!" Eren whispered loudly from behind the trees.

Hagemaru, proud to be a demon (but looking more like a soft potato), ran into the middle of the road and shouted,

"I AM A SCARY DEMON! FEAR ME, HUMANS! GIVE UP NOW OR I'LL... I'LL EAT YOUR DREAMS!"

He waved his hands, made some growling sounds, and even tried to look angry—but it looked more like he needed to go to the bathroom.

The slave traders stopped their carts and stared.

One of them pointed. "What's that thing? A baby goblin?"

Another trader said, "Hey boss, how much will that weird creature sell for?"

Hagemaru froze. "S-Sell?"

The boss laughed hard. "Hah! Worth nothing. He looks poor and dumb!"

All the traders laughed loudly.

Then suddenly… silence.

A deep, scary voice came from the shadows.

"You're using my people as slaves… and eating meat after selling them."

"Now I'll show you what real eating looks like."

A man stepped out of the forest.

He looked terrifying.

One red eye, one black.

Gray skin with smoke moving under it.

And a smile like he wanted to eat your soul.

It was the Demon Lord—Eren.

Then, from the dark, glowing red eyes appeared one by one.

Demons came out slowly… from the trees, the ground, even behind the carriages.

The traders panicked.

Eren raised one hand.

"These humans… are today's dinner."

Rost smiled, cracking his big fists. "They'll be tasty when roasted."

Zenis stood on top of a cart with her two snakes moving like lightning. "Let's have some fun."

Hagemaru, still angry, shouted, "I AM NOT PENNILESS!" and began slapping traders with his book.

Demihumans were in shock that someone has come to protect them…

The traders screamed, running everywhere like scared chickens.

Some climbed trees. Some played dead. One tried to hide.

No use.

Seven traders came running toward Eren with weapons.

Eren looked at his hand and said, "Hey, heart-thing. How do I attack?"

His heart answered with attitude,

"You need to feel the mana and—"

"Shut up! Just give me the shortcut!"

"Fine. Just imagine it."

Eren closed his eyes and imagined fire.

But it was black fire, not red.

It moved like it was alive.

Then he imagined it turning into chains.

Chains of dark fire appeared in the air—fast and wild.

The heart says It is your speciality.

The seven traders screamed—

Then vanished.

No fire left.

No smoke.

Not even ashes.

Rost looked at the spot and said, "Well, I guess we can't eat those."
