Chapter 14 – The Race That Remembers You

By IMERPUS RELUR

--

The Seventh Watcher remained.

Unlike the others, it didn't vanish after the revelation.

It stayed…

Reflecting only Auren.

And then—without warning—it opened its mirror face.

A spiral of light, made entirely of living memory, poured downward and stitched itself into the soil of Auren's realm.

The earth pulsed.

The skies blinked.

And for the first time… a new race began to bloom.

---

 Divine Event:

> [A Forgotten Race Has Reawakened.]

Name: The Talenari

Status: Bound to the Mirror Sutra

Origin Memory: Unknown

Paradox: They remember Auren before he ever created them.

---

From the soil rose slender beings wrapped in glowing threads of memory, their forms fluid, eyes wide—not with innocence, but with recognition.

They emerged not like newborns, but like returners.

The first to speak was a woman with no shadow.

She stepped forward and bowed—not in worship, but in intimate familiarity.

> "We greet you, Auren Ixiel," she said, her voice like layers of overlapping songs.

"We remember when you almost created us, and then chose not to… to spare us from sorrow."

> "Yet here we are—born from that very sorrow."

Auren's voice trembled.

> "How… do you remember me?"

> "We are the Talenari—the Remnants of the Unmade Thought."

"We existed once as potential, discarded. But now that you have accepted every mirror of yourself, the uncreated in you has become real."

---

Eléa whispered, shaken:

> "They weren't born from his will… they were born from his growth."

The Talenari woman stepped forward and placed her hand on Auren's chest.

> "We are not yours to lead. We are yours to balance.

Our presence will challenge every truth you hold… to ensure you do not become a god like those who forgot."

---

Talenari Racial Traits:

Remembrance Reversal: They recall possible futures and forgotten pasts equally.

Divine Echoes: Can project what a god almost became—and show it to them.

Independent Soul Logic: Cannot be controlled by divine authority. Only resonated with.

---

 System Message:

> [Warning: A race has manifested from your Unformed Thought.]

They carry no loyalty. They will not obey. But they will protect you from becoming false.

[Your divine path has changed.]

New Title Acquired: God of Reversal.

---

Auren stood before them, cloak trailing, breath steady.

> "Then speak freely, Talenari. What do you remember of me that I have forgotten?"

The woman smiled—gently, but with truth behind her eyes.

> "You once asked the Creator of All to be erased, just so no one would ever suffer remembering you."

Auren's heart shook.

> "Did… I mean it?"

> "You did."

> "And now?"

> "Now… you walk forward anyway."

---

The Talenari knelt—not to submit, but to ground the world around him.

They began building not temples, but mirrors—small, round, made of light and memory.

Each one reflected only possibility.

Auren walked among them, not as a god above… but as a god still becoming.

---

And far above, the Seventh Watcher's mirror cracked—

Just enough to let the Eighth Eye open.

And this one did not blink.

It simply stared…

Waiting.
