Raven looks at the others. No one really knows what to say.

Orion:…Was that really just a week ago?

Orion:What about you? What happened when this whole thing started?

Grayson(grinning like it's a wild story):Okkkaaayy 😎 I was actually with my mom—we were going to Blake's house 'cause me, Austin, and Blake had planned to meet there.

Raven:Of course y'all had a plan💀

Prab:So yeah, my mom was driving, talking to someone on the phone, when suddenly this guy just appears out of nowhere—and bam, we hit him.

Jade(already wide-eyed):Wait wait wait—WHAT?!

Grayson: he jumps out to check if he's okay, but then—dude just gets up. Dead eyes. Blood. Tries to bite her.

Grayson: She runs back to the car like a maniac and drives straight to Blake's house. And turns out—Austin was already there.

Grayson (voice softer):My mom… she left me there. Said she'd be back.

Raven:She didn't come back,did she?

Noor (gently):…I'm really sorry, bro.

Grayson:It's okay. It's not your fault. It's nobody's, really.🙁

Everyone goes quiet again. The candle flickers.

Raven:Wait… Virin, were you with your parents?

Virin (nods slowly):Yeah… I was.😞

Virin (takes a deep breath): It was my fault… kind of. My brother killed one of them. I—I screamed. I couldn't stop. I was so scared. And I think more of them heard me and came.

Virin:My mom shoved me inside the house and told me not to open the door no matter what.

They all sit there, just staring at the ground. No one talks for a while.

Eventually, everyone curls up in their spots. Corners of the room. Blankets on the floor.

Like someone—or something—fell.

Everyone's eyes fly open. Heart pounding.

It takes a second to realize—Orion is right next to Raven. Their shoulders… were touching the whole time.

Orion (blinking):…Did you hear that?
