Home sweet home

The next day I got up early and went to the capital market to pick up my sword.

I went inside the rundown blacksmith.

"Hello again." I said as I entered the shop.

"Hoo, hey there, kid, you're right on time. Here's your sword and 2 daggers right here." The dwarf said as he handed me the weapons.

"Hehe, thanks, goodbye now." I said as I turned to leave.

After that, I bought some souvenirs for my family, I brought things that they would like and then headed back to the hotel as it was time for me to leave.

"Welcome back, young master. You've got a lot of stuff there. You could have told the butler to carry some stuff." Mary said with a smile.

"No, it's ok, I don't want to bother the servants." I said as I got into the carriage.

As the carriage rolled forward, I sat, watching the view. It was beautiful, the sky, the air hitting my face, and the birds singing, it was peaceful.

But peace wasn't what excited me right now.

It wasn't the thought of seeing my family again after so long. No.

What excited me was the idea of testing my new sword, not on dummies or trees, but on something that breathes and moves.

I wanted to feel the swords slice through something, to see how easily it could take a head from its shoulders.

I wanted to know what true sharpness feels like when my sword cuts something.

Then I got home, greeted my family and gave them the souvenirs I had brought. Their smiles were worth it. After chatting for a while, I excused myself and went to my room. I lay down on my bed, finally able to rest, and then I drifted into sleep.

Then I woke up hours later and ate dinner.

I replaced myself with my clone and sneaked out of the window and went to the bloodfang forest.

"Hehe, finally time to have fun." I said as I opened the box.

Inside was the most breathtaking sword I had ever seen. This wasn't just a weapon, it was a masterpiece. Even the twin daggers beside it were perfect, their design beautiful yet deadly. My heart raced.

"This… this is perfect." I said.

"Time to test this baby out."
