Summoning Spirits

The next day, I woke up to sunlight hitting my face and fresh air filling my room, and birds were humming a beautiful melody, their song weaving through the fresh air that filled my room.

I got up and went to take a bath, and then I lay in my bathtub.

"Man, yesterday night was fun. I need to go somewhere far away to fight more powerful beasts." I said

I got dressed and ate breakfast then I decided to go to the library as it's been too long since I went there.

I took 30 books and read all of them in an hour.

And one book caught my eye.

It was a summoning spell.

"Hmm, summoning spell, it says, summon spirit as your companion." I said excited.

How to summon a spirit.

1. Draw a summoning circle.

2. Light a candle around the circle.

3. Add your mana into the circle. (More mana, the better the spirits.)

4. Add your blood in the middle of the circle.

More mana, the better the spirits, but be careful, sometimes the circle can explode.

"Wow, spirits, hehe, time to summon me some spirit." I said.

I grabbed a piece of chalk and carefully drew the circle exactly as shown in the old book. Then, I asked the maids for some candles. They didn't question it, just handed them over to me.

I placed the candles around the circle, lighting them one by one.

Finally, I pricked my finger and let a single drop of my blood fall in the centre of the circle.

The moment my blood touched the floor, the circle lit up with a blinding glow.

And then it stopped and something came out of it.

It was a cute bird. I could tell that it was weak, but then suddenly a note appeared in front of me.

"Whoa, a note.....OK, it says the bird is good for delivering letters and has infinite stamina, and its features could turn into a weapon." I said.

Then I took the bird to my room.

"Hello there, can you talk?" I said as I was petting the bird.

"Chirp chirp."

"Hmm, I see you can't talk but I see you can understand me."

"Chirp chirp."

Then I and the bird went to the library to relax.
