CHAPTER 63 - This space between us
ELIJAH's POV
"I'm not going to push you to suddenly be okay with all this," I said, bringing her hands to my lips.
"I wouldn't be mad at you if you did. I'm the one who kept pushing you to tell me the truth. To an extent, this is all my fault. I should have been patient with you."
"and I should have eased you into it. I simply just dumped it all on you at this point."
"It's okay. I'm glad I know the truth. It's a bit of a relief if I'm being honest."
I let out a breath and nodded.
"I should let you be so that you enjoy your breakfast. If you need me, just ring me up." I pointed at her phone on the bedside table.
"I'll do that." she said as I began to rise, "And Elijah?"
"yeah?"
"thank you. For saving me."
"It's my sole purpose on this earth," I said playfully, making her smile. But I meant it. I meant every word.
"she doing okay?" Jason asked when I left my room, which was also Kylie's room at the moment.
