Chapter 1:

One day, I time-travel ten years into the future

and I find out I've become a big star

and have a wealthy husband.

Faced with a cold husband and a broken marriage,

I suddenly discover I'm pregnant?

In the mirror, a woman who looks just like me smiles at her reflection.

I inexplicably feel a flutter in my heart.

She tells me, "Emma, I'm done playing, I'll return it to you."

When I woke up from the nightmare, everything had changed.

The small bed in the dormitory in my memory has become this light blue silk large bed, and the numbers on the clock have advanced by ten years.

So, that means I'm now twenty-nine years old?

1

"Emma, I've asked the lawyer to draft the divorce agreement. I'll move out later. As for the house and the marital property, I'll have the lawyer handle it and let you know. You're okay with that, right?" The bedroom door was pushed open, and the sudden voice startled me to take a step back.

The man in front of me was dressed in a suit, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, with well-defined features and a tall frame.

The only flaw was, his eyes were filled with indifference when he looked at me.

Without receiving my answer, the man frowned and said, "Emma, we have already discussed this, haven't we?"

"You've already got everything, money, fame, you're a big star. Do we need to keep torturing each other?"

His expression was indifferent as he picked up the divorce agreement from the table and handed it to me.

I opened my mouth, struggling to digest everything he had said.

Before I could take the divorce agreement, he had already impatiently stuffed it into my hand and then walked past me.

I stared at the paper in my hand in a daze, then racked my brain to remember everything.

On the first page of the divorce agreement, he had already signed his name, Lucas Grant.

"Ms. Emma, the flight is going to be delayed."

I turned my head in the direction of the voice to see a fair-skinned young woman.

"Who are you?" I asked instinctively.

"I'm the new assistant, we met yesterday."

She looked at me nervously, then spoke softly, "Are we leaving?"

"Leaving for where?" I was a little confused.

"You have a reality TV romance show to shoot, I texted you about it yesterday..."

She looked at me with a cautious expression, as if I were some fierce beast.

I felt somewhat guilty and didn't delve into her expression, just nodded hastily.

When I arrived on set, seeing those couples close to each other, I suddenly remembered something.

"Why am I shooting a romance show?"

"Aren't I already married?"

Well, although I just got divorced.

I turned to look at the young assistant, who smiled awkwardly but said nothing.

"Emma, here you are?"

The person in front of me seemed to be the director, I nodded lightly, filled with curiosity about what was going to happen.

"Ethan Cole has already changed his clothes, you should hurry up too, we need to start shooting in fifteen minutes, get ready quickly."

I instinctively nodded, then suddenly widened my eyes.

"Who? Who did you say? Ethan Cole?"

Oh my god, Ethan Cole is here too.

I pushed open the door to the dressing room and immediately saw the person sitting inside.

He shifted his gaze from his phone to look at me.

I almost habitually called out to him.

"Idol."

Ethan Cole suddenly stood up from his chair, looking at me incredulously.

"What did you call me?"

I was stunned, had I stopped idolizing him after a few years?

"I..."

"You're back?" His voice was trembling.

I really didn't understand, what did he mean by, "You're back?"

Didn't I just arrive?

Ethan Cole walked over quickly, and the next second, he pulled me into his arms.

It was a kind of eager, passionate feeling, I didn't react for a moment.

"Now, let's walk into Emma Evans' dressing room and see what they're doing now?"

The director, along with the camera crew, appeared out of nowhere.

I stiffly turned my head, feeling my blood turn cold.

Then, as if caught in the act, I forcefully pushed Ethan Cole away, awkwardly looking at them.

With lingering fear, I said, "Director, this won't be broadcasted, right?"

"This is a live broadcast."

The director and the camera crew were completely unprepared for this scene and didn't react at all.

I helplessly turned to Ethan Cole.

Quietly muttered, "Idol, why did you hug me?"

Then I noticed that Ethan Cole's eyes were red, constantly looking at me.

After hearing what I said, he actually smiled?

Tears were squeezed out from the corners of his eyes.

2

Ethan Cole is my idol, and I've admired him since high school.

So, after we got to know each other, I would also call him "Idol."

His film crew shot at our school for four months, and the director picked me to play the third female lead. Thinking I could see my idol and earn money, I went.

That's how I got in touch with Ethan Cole.

I don't have much acting talent and was often scolded.

Ethan Cole is an especially nice person, always gently guiding me on how to act. I really liked him.

On the second day after their crew finished filming, he told me.

He was leaving and had something he wanted to tell me.

But it was very dark that night, and I couldn't see his face.

All I knew was that his eyes were very bright, crashing straight into my soul that night.

"Forget it; it's too late today. I'll tell you tomorrow. Go and rest now."

He smiled at me, with a hint of helplessness in his eyes.

The gentle breeze made me dazed, and I simply nodded.

So what was he really going to tell me?

I tossed and turned in frustration, and after a while, the door opened.

"Emma Evans, what on earth are you doing? Aren't you getting criticized enough by Ethan Cole's fans?"

"Don't forget you're a married woman; there should be a limit to messing around. What if someone finds out?"

The person was a neatly dressed woman, speaking very quickly, a very assertive woman.

I sighed, not wanting to guess what her identity was anymore.

"So is there a new wave on Weibo?"

I put a pillow over my head, feeling somewhat helpless.

"Now everyone is discussing whether it's deliberate hype by the show's crew or if you two are really together."

"Emma Evans, you need to understand that even though your marriage wasn't publicized, it's already an open secret in the entertainment industry."

"If something comes out about you and Ethan Cole, it will be regarded as an affair. How will you continue?"

"So was it arranged by the show's crew? Why would Ethan Cole hug me otherwise?"

"He hugged you? Weren't you and Ethan Cole always at odds?"

"Ms. Smith, both Ethan Cole's studio and the show's crew have confirmed it was a surprise planned by the crew to celebrate the end of filming."

At this moment, the assistant timely walked in.

I sat up, "Will people believe it?"

Ms. Smith took out her phone and typed something, then said, "Whether they believe it or not, that's the only way out. I'll also have the studio issue a statement immediately."

"By the way, Emma Evans, you'd better prepare yourself mentally when you go out later."

I looked up at Ms. Smith in confusion; her expression was full of teasing, which inexplicably made me uncomfortable.

But soon I understood what she meant—there were people all over the hotel entrance.

As soon as I stepped out, all sorts of trash were thrown at me, and they spewed inexplicable vulgarities from their mouths.

I understood, mostly related to Ethan Cole, but I couldn't grasp why, just because of a hug?

Has the fandom become this chaotic?

Through the glass mirror, I looked at those fierce people outside and turned away disheartened.

"I've never been scolded like this my whole life. Are fans this extreme nowadays?"

Feeling wronged surfaced from the bottom of my heart, as the actions over the past decade weren't my genuine intentions.

The assistant gently wiped the dirt off me with a tissue, and I softly said, "Thank you."

She paused, then continued her actions.

3

We arrived at the set, and everyone had gradually prepared to start work. I'm the second female lead in this drama.

The first female lead is a Best Actress named Chloe Lane. The assistant said she's a very gentle and humble person.

The day went by very smoothly; after all, I just finished filming four months of a show, so I still have some acting skills.

"Emma Evans, your acting has gained a lot of charm. It seems you've polished this role well."

The director was very pleased with my performance. Just as I was about to nod and thank him, Chloe Lane suddenly sneered.

The director and I turned to look at her, and she gave me a disdainful glance, swaying her hips

before walking off.

The director mumbled, "I don't know what's up with Chloe lately. We've worked together so many times, but this time there's no chemistry."

I stayed silent, not sure why, but I always felt there was something familiar about Chloe Lane, though I had never seen her before.

It was already dark by the time we wrapped up, and a cold wind blew occasionally. I asked the assistant, "Do you want to eat oden?"

"Huh?"

"Don't you think the weather is quite fitting for it?" I blinked at her.

So the two of us cheerfully ran off for a meal, then returned to the hotel.

"Emma."

As we were looking down for the key card, I heard Ethan Cole's voice.

Ethan stood at the corner of the hallway, and I couldn't quite make out his face.

I might have been a bit excited tonight, and I cheerfully called out, "Idol!"

Ethan seemed to breathe a sigh of relief for some reason, and he walked towards us.

"Emma, do you want to talk with me?"

I frowned slightly, a bit puzzled, but still nodded.

Turning to look at the assistant, she knowingly hurriedly handed me the key before leaving.

Ethan and I sat on the sofa in the room, I gazed at him, not knowing what he wanted to say to me.

"Emma, when did you return?"

"What?"

Ethan's expression was very serious, as if trying to see through me to my soul.

Could it be that he knows I came here from when I was nineteen?

"Emma, do you know that during the ten years you disappeared, that woman used your identity to do a lot of things? I'm really afraid she will take over your body again."

Hearing this, I stood up in shock.

"But I, but I traveled directly to ten years later? What do you mean by disappeared?"

"Ms. Emma."

The appearance of the assistant interrupted our conversation.

"Your husband is here. He said he's waiting for you in the hotel conference room."

I looked at Ethan Cole, he smiled faintly at me, "You go first, I'll wait here for you."

4

In the spacious meeting room, there were only the three of us.

Lucas Grant remained as indifferent as ever.

"Emma Evans, what did you mean by the email you sent?"

He opened his phone and handed it towards us.

I glanced at it, the email indeed had my signature, but the content pierced me.

'I'm pregnant.'

"I don't know who sent this, it's unrelated to me." I got up to leave, as if this was a place of demons.

"Emma Evans, since we first met, you've used this email to communicate with me, besides its IP address is from here."

"Emma Evans, aren't you trying to tell me you don't want a divorce?"

He suddenly chuckled, "To be honest, whether this child is mine or not could be debated, couldn't it?"

Lucas Grant took back his phone, casually staring at me, as if trying to read something from my terrified eyes.

"Emma Evans, there are certain games you don't need to play anymore. We've been married for years, I'm very clear about what kind of person you are. A woman like you who can climb into a man's bed for resources, I'm afraid that's all your means."

I came out of the conference room, my hand slowly touching my abdomen, unable to recover for a long time.

A heavy stone seemed to press on my heart, Emma Evans, is this really me?

A man walked towards me, he seemed to be a wealthy young man, I turned my body and quietly walked past him.

"Ah!"

That man wrapped his arms around me from behind and dragged me into the adjacent storeroom, I struggled desperately, but it seemed especially ridiculous.

"Emma Evans, long time no see?"

He pinned me against the wall, my wrists clasped tightly by him, I couldn't move.

"Who are you?"

The man's lips curled into a thin smile, exceedingly cold.

"Are you mad?"

I said nothing, just glared at him fiercely.

"How interesting."

"I heard you divorced my brother, it wouldn't be because of me, would it?"

"If that's the case, why not lower your stance, let me take a good look at you?"

"Maybe I'd be willing to have you?"

Seeing his face gradually approaching me, I couldn't endure anymore, using all my strength to push him away.

Just as my hand was about to touch the doorknob, that man hugged me from behind again, an extremely shameful posture.

I trembled in fear.

"Please, don't touch me."

I nearly collapsed.

"Emma Evans, before, you used to beg me for it." His voice was full of sarcasm.

Filling my ears, like cold water, directly soaking into my soul.

"How boring."

He tore me away and opened the door to leave.

After a while, I finally calmed down slowly.

I reached out to wipe my tears, only then realizing my hand was icy cold.

5

"Emma, are you alright?" Ethan Cole stood up when he saw me return.

Looking at his worried eyes, I assumed my expression wasn't quite right, so I gradually gave him a smile.

"I'm fine."

Through these events, I had to reflect on the things Ethan told me.

My body had been occupied by another soul for ten years, what exactly happened during this period?

"Ms. Emma, now everyone is talking about the scandal between Chloe Lane and Colin Grant."

The assistant animatedly described their situation.

I casually asked, "Who is Colin Grant?"

"How could you not know who he is? He's Lucas Grant's brother."

Lucas Grant's brother? My heart was in chaos, as if I was caught in a giant whirlpool.

The assistant continued eagerly: "They're quite a match, the second son of Grant Group and Best Actress Lane."

"And Chloe Lane comes from such a good family."

The assistant spoke and I casually responded to her words.

The theme song for the romance show needs us to record an MV.

Early the next morning, we rushed to the island's beach.

Ethan Cole and I stood face to face, looking at each other with a smile, quietly feeling the sea breeze and the camera.

For a moment, I even felt like I was still the nineteen-year-old Emma Evans.

"What are you thinking?"

Ethan Cole silently gazed at me.

I took a deep breath, and my gaze gradually turned to the sea.

I said, "Do you remember, idol?"

"The drama we filmed, it also had a beach scene."

"But the conditions were bad, replaced by green screen."

Ethan also looked out at the sea, after quite a while.

I finally heard him replied, "I won't forget."

Since we're on the island, we had seafood for lunch.

The sea breeze carried a fishy smell, sitting at the dining table looking at those seafood dishes made me feel like throwing up.

The assistant said I might not have eaten meat for a long time, so my stomach couldn't handle it.

I tugged at my pale lips, "Maybe."

There might be an answer already, which is pregnancy reaction, but I still chose to escape in self-deceit.

"Emma, have some porridge, I got some plain porridge for you."

Ethan came over holding a small white porcelain bowl.

I glanced at it and shook my head.

"No appetite."

"Then would you like to go see the fishing village, the scenery is really good." Ethan half knelt beside me, speaking in a warm voice.

I was a bit worried, "Will we be photographed? It would be hard to explain later."

"No, this is an island, already remote, plus the show crew is filming, there are staff everywhere."

After hearing this, I felt my heart skip a few beats, and my head nodded uncontrollably.

The two of us walked side by side on the path, an old man carrying a basket approached us.

"Hello, do you know the way to Merrowin?"

Ethan gently pulled my hand, I stopped and looked at the old man with him.

The old man stared at us from head to toe, then suddenly smiled, smiling so much that his face wrinkled all together, both kind and cute.

"Are you taking wedding photos? This month three couples have asked already."

I stared wide-eyed, urgently waving my hands wanting to explain to the old man.

Ethan reached out and held my hand down, he also smiled while talking with the old man, "Yes, we want to check out the venue in advance."

I dumbly looked at the hand he held, speechless for a moment.

"Look, it's over there." The old man pointed to a place.

"It's only beautiful at sunset, you should best go see at sunset."

"Alright, thank you."

Ethan looked at me again, in his eyes I saw playfulness.

"Let's go, wife."

I glared at him, "Taking advantage of me."

"Haha, you two are really a matching couple I've seen."

"The young man's very handsome, and the girl is pretty."

After saying that, the old man continued on his way.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Ethan said with amusement.

I withdrew my gaze, "I'm verifying the old man's words, see if you're really that handsome."

"Then take another good look, don't see wrong."

I followed his words and looked again.

Thin lips, high nose bridge, peach blossom eyes, and in his eyes... me.

Full of me.

"Why are you blushing?"

His words disrupted my thoughts, I quickly stepped back a few steps, releasing his hand.

"It's really hot today."

After hastily saying this, I quickly walked ahead.

Arrived at the place called Merrowin, this really is a nice place.

The sea blends with the blue sky, looking far away, seeming like no end.

The wind messed up my hair, "Why is it called Merrowin, it doesn't match at all."

"Didn't the old man just say? It's most beautiful at sunset."

Ethan walked leisurely behind me, speaking lightly.

"Then let's come again in the afternoon, okay?"

I said excitedly.

Ethan ruffled my hair, and replied with a "Okay."

6

Unfortunately, when the sun set, our MV finished filming, Ethan and I were taken away by our respective teams.

We had no chance to see.

Back in the crew, Chloe Lane just finished filming with the male lead, she didn't look in a good mood, probably scolded by the director.

But my mood was good, surrounded by everything on the island.

Chloe Lane saw me from afar, then walked over.

Everyone was busy with their own things, no one paid attention to us.

"You seem very happy?"

I didn't speak, withdrew my smile.

"Emma Evans, Emma Evans, maybe you should thank me, without me, where would you get today's glory and wealth?"

"The email to Lucas Grant, you sent it, what do you want to do?"

Chloe Lane paused for a second, then laughed more exaggeratedly, seemingly surprised.

"You actually know it's me?"

"I also know the one who took over my body for almost ten years, is you."
