Chapter 2

"I met someone I deeply, deeply love, and so did Andrew."

"We are not the most suitable for each other."

Grandpa Grant stared at us for a long time before sighing.

"Matters of the heart cannot be forced, and I know you're doing this just to please me."

"Emily, do come visit grandpa more often."

I held his hand and gently said, "Grandpa, you will live a long life."

When leaving, I watched Grandpa Grant's back for a long time.

He has two sons, one died on the battlefield, and the other is Andrew's father, but they are not close.

His wife passed away early, leaving Andrew as the only one willing to talk to him in the vast house.

"Emily, you're so heartless."

Andrew stood beside me, his eyes red, his tone filled with resentment.

"Andrew, if I married you, that would truly be heartless."

"Two people who don't love each other entangled will ultimately hurt ourselves."

I exhaled heavily, with a sense of relief.

"Andrew, have a good life with Vivian."
