"Emily, I won't be home for dinner tonight, there's some overtime at the company. Go ahead and rest early, don't wait up for me."

When Mason Lowder sent me this text message, I was just about to get in the car to wait for him downstairs at his company. Seven years of marriage, I understand him too well.

I replied with an "Okay," and then put my phone back in my pocket.

As expected, he drove off from the company right at five o'clock. I had the driver follow him.

The luxury car quickly drove into an upscale neighborhood, and just as his car stopped at the entrance, Olivia Howard came running out from the corridor.

Without a word, she wrapped her arms tightly around his waist.

Perhaps having witnessed so many moments of their intimacy, at this moment, I felt that even heartache was just a fleeting feeling.

"You're off work? I made your favorite sweet and sour ribs, just waiting for you."

Mason Lowder playfully tapped her nose.
