Caleb Grant was raging at his mother-in-law in the hospital corridor.
His mother-in-law sat on a bench, her eyes red, holding a handkerchief to wipe her tears, stammering.
"The Serpent Lord's..."
"Your Serpent Lord!!!"
Caleb Grant flew into a rage.
I held back the furious Caleb Grant, empathetically advising him, "Dad's been gone for so many years, and Mom has been alone. This happening now is somewhat understandable, you should be more forgiving towards her."
His mother-in-law grabbed onto me like a lifeline.
"Ivy is so sensible! You don't understand how to empathize with your mother, it's her privacy, and I have the right not to tell you."
She turned her body to the side.
Caleb Grant clutched the report paper, laughing angrily, pacing anxiously in the hospital.
I gently took out the report and swiftly stuffed it into my bag, then softly comforted him to ease the tension between them.
