Tyrant’s Ascent (Part II)

Cain stood motionless beneath the sanctum's burning glyphs. The essence around him had begun to calm, the furious triple-elemental maelstrom receding like a tide. Yet within his body, a storm still raged—one far more volatile.

He was no longer the boy who entered the chamber two hours ago.

His skin bore the markings of chaos—etched runes in crimson, violet, and obsidian, fading in and out like breathing flame. Lightning coiled silently beneath his veins. Shadows bled from his very pores before slinking back beneath his flesh.

Laurifer's voice echoed through Cain's thoughts, no longer teasing, no longer playful—only solemn.

> "You've crossed into the Semi-saint Realm. Most would need decades to stabilize... but you can't afford decades, Cain. You don't just need power—you need immortality, now."

Cain's gaze lifted toward the obsidian ceiling. His chest rose slowly.

"I know."

Outside the chamber, the ground above trembled again. Dozens of royal guards throughout the Siegfried estate stumbled, disoriented, their Essence Veins flaring just from the aftershock of what Cain had become. Even seasoned cultivators found their knees weakening.

Azreal Siegfried stood atop his tower balcony, his flaming hair dancing in the night wind. A small smirk played on his lips.

"A saint, are you?" he muttered. "Your blood is terrifying."

Inside the chamber, Cain returned to his meditative position. But this time, he summoned something new—the Shadow Furnace.

A void circle opened before him, conjured by his Shadow Constitution. It was a construct only a few cultivators throughout history had managed to manifest—one where essence could be melted, purified, and reshaped into divine strands.

> [Tyrant System Prompt: Shadow Furnace Initialized]

[Essence Stream detected: Triple Affinity Mode]

[Would you like to temper your Foundation for Immortal Stage Evolution?]

[Yes / No]

"Yes."

He didn't hesitate.

The furnace roared to life—black flames danced like serpents, licking the edges of Cain's soul. Laurifer's voice surged again, but now it was layered with another—Levi Azaroth. A deep, grating voice filled with wrath and fire.

> "Pain is your forge, Cain. Let it burn you. Let it refine you."

Essence surged once more.

But unlike before, it did not simply enter his meridians—it attacked them.

The goal was no longer to circulate energy. It was to destroy the old and build anew.

His Essence Core—the center of his cultivation—cracked, groaned, then shattered completely.

Cain screamed.

Not from weakness, but from release. The limits of the Mortal Stage were gone. No more chains. No more human constraints.

His heart stuttered. His lungs stopped. His blood froze. Every function of his body ceased as the system rewired him from the inside out.

Seven minutes of torture.

Cain saw visions—memories not his own.

Laurifer standing over oceans of corpses, his eyes calm as planets fell from the sky.

Azula dancing across lightning-covered fields, her laughter slicing through thousands of enemies.

Levi sitting upon a throne of flame, alone, untouchable—unkillable.

He understood now.

The Supremes weren't just cultivators. They were forces. And if he wanted revenge, he couldn't just climb—he had to leap.

A deep crack resounded in the chamber.

Cain's body levitated off the ground, runes spiraling around him. His new core formed in his chest—a black diamond, cracked with golden fire and silver lightning.

Then came the boom.

Cain landed lightly, the impact cracking the ground beneath his feet.

But his aura was no longer chaotic.

It was controlled.

His every breath now pulled in ambient essence from the world itself. Flames bowed to him. Lightning sought him. Shadows wrapped around his legs like obedient hounds.

> "Well?" Laurifer asked, watching from Cain's shadow.

Cain clenched his fist. Energy surged.

He no longer used essence.

He commanded it.

Suddenly, the massive black doors of the chamber creaked open.

Azreal Siegfried stepped inside, eyes sharp. Aildris followed behind, arms casually crossed.

Cain turned, shirtless, his body glowing faintly with chaotic essence. His katana hovered at his side, now marked with divine patterns that hadn't been there before.

Azreal nodded slowly, but there was steel in his voice.

"You've reached the Immortal Stage in one day. You've done what even monsters of legend would call madness."

Cain said nothing.

Aildris stepped forward, his playful smile gone.

"But now... you'll have enemies. Real ones. Cultivators from the Ascendance Stage and above will feel your breakthrough. Spies will whisper your name. Bloodlines will react. And the Supremes—especially the ones that killed your clan—will sense that someone with their essence has returned."

Cain's gaze narrowed.

"I'm counting on it."

Azreal smirked. "Then prepare yourself. Because from now on... even sleeping will be an act of war."

Cain's fingers slowly closed into a fist.

Let them come.

Supremes, spies, empires.

He was no longer Cain Azaroth, the last survivor.

He was the Tyrant Ascendant.

And this... was only the beginning.
