…
I spend my time looking at each space it has where there is a lot of room for us to stay and it is fully furnished.
Yet, amidst my mixed emotions, a sense of responsibility emerged. The size of the mansion brought to mind the idea of utilizing the space for the benefit of others. My friends from Eccentrics could have a safe haven, a place to call home, and perhaps even a new beginning. The mansion's grandeur could serve a purpose greater than my own desires, a realization that eased my internal struggle.
Without me noticing, it was already evening and I was alone at the balcony while looking at the sunset.
Elijah was downstairs with Byron accompanying him.
Mara and her friends come to me while looking tired after checking around the house. They were looking happy, but not for me.
"Is there something wrong?" Mara asked with concern.
"You should be happy, Oruvan. This house is so big. I could say this is a perfect house." Elias comforted me.
"Do you want a bigger mansion like the royal duke Jake?" Jasper joke aside.
I chuckled. "That's not what I want."
"Then, would you tell us then?" Ava asked with curiosity.
"It's just too big for my family and it makes me feel… Sighed. Lonely." I look at them and they understand what I meant.
I gather my courage and tell them what I had thought earlier. "Would you guys stay with me?" I told them that but unexpectedly, Mara also had the same idea and said together with me simultaneously, "Let us work for you".
I look at her surprisingly and glance at them.
"Wait what?! So, do you guys agree to stay with me here?" I asked them excitedly.
They all nodded to me.
"That's right. We will stay with you. But in exchange, let us work for you here." Mara added.
Elias was grinning happily. "I can help you with hard labour." He offered.
"Me too. I will help Elias to do the hard chores for you or be your butler if you want." Jasper said with excitement.
"Mara and I can become your maid to clean around your house, but I'm not pretty sure if we can cook." Ava volunteers.
E"Oh, please. The last time we had your cooks end up putting us bed-ridden." Elias joke aside.
We all laughed together with the jest.
"I really don't know what to say, but I was truly grateful. Are you guys serious about this? What about your Eccentric's family?" I asked them with concern.
They all looked at each other.
"You are our family too." Mara explained.
We all hugged each other in one big hug that made me feel a little bit emotional. I can't believe this. I'm not alone anymore.
Later on, we finished looking at everything here and decided to go home. I had planned to enter the house tomorrow. I told them to prepare everything and decided to pick them up tomorrow after asking Byron's permission. He also told me that the 'Mytiserve Consortium', the bureau of domestic staff service, will send out 10 people for the time being.
