A Shudder Before The Beautiful

Heidi is a subdued, unremarkable fourteen-year old girl. That all changes at the beginning of her summer vacation when her family notices drastic changes in her behavior. As Heidi begins school in the Autumn, her odd personality grows even more mysterious as she exhibits supernatural powers and knowledge of ancient civilizations that modern scholars have never heard of--and for good reason. There is a threat awaiting every tecnhocivilization as soon as they reach a certain stage of maturity. Will this time be different?
