[LUCAS – POV]
You know that moment when you know you're doing something stupid—but you do it anyway?
Yeah. That was me.
Sneaking Jasmine into the boys' locker room during lunch? Dumbest idea I've ever had. But her hand in mine, her laughter echoing off the walls—it felt worth the risk.
"I swear," she whispered, trying not to giggle, "if someone catches us, I'm blaming you."
"Oh, you will," I smirked. "But not before I do this."
I pinned her gently against the locker, leaned in, and kissed her. Soft at first. Then deeper. Hungrier.
She melted into me like she'd been waiting for that moment all day.
Then the door creaked.
We froze.
"Lucas?"
Coach Adedayo's voice boomed like thunder.
Jasmine shoved me back so hard I nearly tripped over a gym bag.
"I swear nothing happened!" she blurted, cheeks red as fire.
Coach's eyes narrowed, darting between us. "Office. Now."
Dead. We were so dead.
[JASMINE – POV]
One second I was in heaven, the next I was facing judgment day.
As we sat in the principal's office, waiting for the inevitable scolding (or suspension), Lucas leaned toward me with a tiny smirk.
"Still worth it," he whispered.
I shot him a glare.
But even I couldn't stop the smile pulling at my lips.
