Kaelen decided to start by telling them to untie him. Then he stood up and asked them one thing: "Why are nobles, kings, and priests considered superior to you? Why are you their slaves? The answer is simple. Luck. They're lucky. They were born noble, rich, kings. They have all the power. But they are equal to us—we're all the same race. So why do they treat us like we're nothing? Why do they exploit us? Why are they protected in palaces while we live every day in fear? Why do we survive day by day while they live like their money will never run out? It's because of their luck—but not only that. It's because of us. We have become submissive, as if that's normal. But it's not."
"Whether you think I'm right or wrong, you have to admit it's stupid. My goal is to overthrow this regime, to create one where people become what they deserve—not what they inherit."
The crowd was shocked.
Then some brave ones saluted his courage and supported him. They said he was right. Why should they suffer and give the fruits of their hard work to the nobles while they stayed in their paradise every day? The world is unfair.
Exclamations echoed through the crowd.
Kaelen said, "From today, we take village by village, lordship by lordship, until the capital is the last. And one important thing—do you have a friend? A family member who can join us? A servant among the nobles who can steal their magic books and spellbooks? Retired mercenaries? Wandering magicians? Bring them here."
"Today marks the beginning of the wave of freedom."
