The knights stood tall with full body armor donned. They weapons were unsheathed as they started straight without moving. The power emanating from them could be sensed through their mana. Commoners looked at the castle but their height did not allow them to see it. They could only see the knights as their sight could not see beyond the tall walls.
They spoke about knights more than the castles and carriages as they could not fathom lords and things in their life. They could only see knights as knights are the only nobles they could come into contact with. Those being commoners made it hard for them to control mana even if their body was fed with excess mana. So commoners remained commoners while the nobles remained nobles.
This did not stop them from imagining about it. Men and women who had loaned pretty dress were seen standing by the side, walking straight to attract the sight of some noble or knight.
A person wearing a good dress could be seen coming on a horse. The man was more tall and his build showed power. His eyes made the commoners fear and they stayed away from his path as their vanity ranked behind their love for life.
He looked straight and did not move at all as if he is a puppet. His horse was majestic than more tricorns which let the commoners think that this man was a lord.
A pretty lady wearing cheap dress made to look rich stared at the man. She fiddled with her hair and kept biting her lips. She had her body straight and legs stable as that was all she had learnt in the etiquette class. She stepped forward half a step before standing back. The man on the horse passed by her and she put her head down.
Her stomach grumbled. She knew that this man was also a chance and she was willing to take the chance. She took 2 steps forward before stepping back. She sighed as she kept her head down. She saw her big bosom and remembered the teachings of her grandmother. She raised her neck like a flamingo and stood straight and walked out of the line and ran behind the man. Since the horse was walking slowly, she caught up with him. She shouted, "Gentleman. Do you need want me to accompany you? I had good grades at etiquette."
Dominic did not care for the women who had come in front of him. It was an unspoken rule that if the noble liked that person, they will stop and invite the person inside the carriage. He did not know what the unspoken case was for when a noble ride a horse but that clearly was not passing by without heeding to her words. But her shout did make him stop. He observed her. She was someone with attributes. Anyone who does not have attribute but can control mana is made a knight and anyone who has mana and attribute is named a wizard. Most nations had their own national academy and they would sponsor anyone with talent as a large population base provided more talents, though such talents would rarely rise to become strong.
He came near her, still on the horse and said, "Why have are you? Why are you not in the academy?"
Lucy blushed slightly as she kept fiddling with her long hair. She asked herself if she was a long lost relative of the nobleman or if she was noted by this man. But she came back to her senses. She could not speak how she was asked to leave the academy by her parents when her scholarship was cancelled under the orders of Stella. But this was her last chance so she said, "I lost my scholarship. Some problems are at my home."
Dominic raised his eyebrows. He asked, "You have one of the rarest attributes named chaos. Even though the strength of the most attributes depends on holder, some attributes needs the holder to be too much strong. Chaos is strong when activated. You should have not activated your attribute yet so you cannot use the knight method to refine mana. There is a reason why you are weak."
Dominic commanded his horse and the horse moved forward. He said, "You can come to Bryxton castle to meet me. I shall arrange for you teaching if you prove to be worthy. If you are really someone useless, I shall not sponsor you as you will then be not worthy."
Lucy sighed. Her hands had dropped down and her blush had disappeared. She said, "I doubt if I am talented enough."
Dominic smiled and said, "You will be."
Dominic then took out a pouch of gold and gave it to her gently. He also marked her using the darkness attribute as he was well known for using the darkness attribute. He also cursed her that only he shall be able to harm her which was a blessing for her in another manner.
Dominic smiled at her and then let his horse move forward.
