2Chapter 3

"We have arrived." A voice rings out from outside the carriage, it was the knight who was driving.

I'm finally here! After many, many hours of Ram throwing shade at me, I'm free!

Okay, the ride wasn't actually that bad, I got to see some cool scenery and eventually Emilia woke up and with her so did Puck, so I had plenty of conversation partners.

We even passed through Arlan Village! Oh boy, can't wait to deal with the little murder loli.

The knight opens the carriage's door and helps both Emilia and Ram down, sadly I have to get out by myself.

Damn you knighthood, where's my knight in shining armor!? Where are my cute knight girls!? I'm pretty sure the last woman to become a knight was Reinhard's grandma so what should I do!? Fuck Felix!?

Maybe... Thoughts for later, still not sure about how to feel about catboy.

All three carriages have stopped just outside of the mansion's gate, knights are now leaving them.

And speaking of mansion... It's fucking huge! And majestic! Ahhh, I actually had felt a bit disappointed over at the capital since it didn't seem all that special looking, but at least Roswaal knew the importance of style.

Then again I hadn't seen the royal palace yet, maybe that would redeem the capital?

My admiration of the scenery aside, in front of the gate there is a maid waiting for us. "Welcome back, Lady Emilia." It's Rem, the only other maid in this mansion outside of Ram.

Roswaal, while I do think twins are great, can't you have more than only two goddamned maids for this gigantic mansion?! Can you at least call Frederica back?! I mean come on, she is the best one!

I am Frederica's strongest soldier.

As Rem greets Emilia she finally takes a look at me, I see her nose move just a little and she... Recoils back as if struck.

Damn it, did she smell the witch on me? I never used [Return By Death, and while I did call for Satella, it was only that one time... Was her smell really still lingering on me?

Satella you need a bath, because apparently your smell is putrid enough to last more than one day in a person.

Ugh, I guess I'm going to have to deal with Rem's suspicion one way or another...

"Feeblebaru, please stop ignoring my dear sister, for your safety if nothing else."

Oh, It seemed Rem greeted me while I was lost in thoughts. "Sorry Ram, I was lost in your sister's eyes..."

Rem recoils even harder. "Sister, sister, please help this Rem, it seems a beast has approached the mansion."

And Ram sighs. "Lustfulbaru, please start ignoring my dear sister, for her safety if nothing else..."

"Don't worry this Subaru here has no evil intentions!" I offer a handshake to Rem, I have no idea what the proper greeting for Introductions is, so this will have to do. "By the way my name is Subaru, not whatever Ram decides to call me next."

Rem looks at my hand weirdly and seemingly refuses my handshake, still she introduces herself. "It is a... Pleasure meeting you Subaru-Kun, my name is Rem, please be aware that if I go missing Lord Roswaal will notice."

I nod. "Duly noted."

Ram shakes her head. "Fishbaru, you are supposed to deny such blatant accusations, not simply accept them."

I fake a sad sigh. "But won't you just use that to destroy me even further Goddess Ram?"

The redheaded oni smirks. "Hah! That's correct, but you should at least make yourself useful for once and let me knock you down a peg or two."

I nod a few times. "Yes, everything is going according to plan and even Ram is slowly falling into debauchery and revealing her dark fetishes."

Rem eyes at this point are wide enough to scare someone. "Sister, where did you find such a specimen? I thought such a lustful being surely could only be found in fantasy."

"Indeed sister, the being known as Inferiorbaru here is always lost in his delusions, please ignore everything he says."

I show a bright smile. "Yes, that's right, I am a being of fantasy! You guys just stumbled on a rare SSR Subaru!" That's a 0.6% chance of happening of course.

Ram sighs. "I have no idea what you said Cursebaru, but it seems your delusions are as strong as ever." She shakes her head. "Nonetheless don't worry Rem, Delusionalbaru is not a threat, simply take him as a Garfiel who took the wrong path." Why am I being compared to the fourteen year old?!

The blue haired oni looks me up and down. "Now that you say it sister..." She smiles and nods. "Indeed, he does have a Garfiel feel doesn't he?"

I look at Emilia who has chosen to stay outside of the argument so far. "Mili save me, please."

She looks at Rem. "Rem, Subaru is a go~od boy, but he has no common sense so feel free to tease him from time to time."

I almost fall down in shock. "Even Mili has abandoned me?! I am being neglected and betrayed?! Must I fall to the dark side for more power and give up my dream of being Hokage?!

All of them look confused and eventually Ram speaks up. "Garfielbaru, please start speaking like a normal person..."

Emilia nods and looks at Rem. "See?"

Rem simply nods back.

Still I do eventually recover from Mili's dark and merciless betrayal and ask Rem. "Hey what's gonna happen with all the knights who came here? Is Lord Roswaal going to feed them for the night?"

"No, we're going to kick them out, they have brought their own supplies and will be leaving the next morning." That's cold Rem! Being a knight must be tough... "But why are you asking about the knights Subaru-Kun?"

I smile. "First of all... I love the Subaru-Kun, keep it up."

She smiles too. "I see, no longer shall I call you Subaru-Kun." That hurts, please forgive me Rem!

"...Anyways the reason why I'm asking is that the knights have been acting weirdly all day."

Before Rem can question me further Ram interrupts. "Indeed, for once in his life he is correct Rem, the knights have been giving Lady Emilia even worse looks than usual."

Rem actually looks a little mad at that. "I see, well if sister will vouch for Subaru..."

I bow. "Please add the -Kun back, Rem I beg of thee."

"No." Tsk.

I make a defeated face. "I have suffered nothing, but pain ever since I got here..." And then I go back to smiling. "Still, cute girls are cute, so everything is forgiven."

Emilia interjects. "Well Subaru, I'm glad you're having fun... But please be respectful when we meet Lord Roswaal, Ok~ay?"

"Got it Mili, don't worry, even I am not dumb enough to disrespect the court magician." Okay [Subaru Natsuki] was, but the others weren't.

We enter the mansion, walking through the gardens and then the corridors, Rem is leading us to the dinner room where Roswaal is expecting us.

I can't help, but wonder if the [Gospel] or more accurately the [Tome Of Wisdom] had changed, in the original canon Roswaal expected a teenager who had no talents, and now instead he got dragon Batman.

...And two other idiots.

Well, not like the [Tome Of Wisdom] was all that anyways, it couldn't see either Rem or Otto and it could also obviously be broken by a user of [Return By Death].

Not only that, but I have all the power here, Roswaal can try to force a restart all he wants, but he knows that if I decide to leave it's game over.

Eventually we arrive to the front of a big door, Rem stops us. "Subaru Not-Kun, let us enter first, we shall explain the situation with more clarity to Lord Roswaal."

I nod. "Got it, don't worry, I'll behave."

They enter and I'm left standing in the corridor, I almost want to look for Beako, in fact my [Subaru Natsuki] senses were telling me we passed through her door...

But, I don't really know what to do with her, should I just act like normal Subaru and slowly befriend her or should I enter screaming that I was 'That Person'?

She is a depressed four hundred year old loli, what if she does decide to accept I'm that person, but then just asks me to kill her? I don't want to make my isekai that type of story.

Though I guess this isn't the time either way, if Rem saw me looking through the doors of the mansion while she told me to wait... Well that's one waifu lost.

Can't be losing waifus, gotta catch' em all.

Ugh, they're taking forever... Might as well think of what to do in the following days...

Meili was worrying, but if I could get Roswaal on my side then things would be solved in seconds, contrary to Elsa this one had been sent by 'Mama' herself, Roswaal had no idea, so he would be fine with stopping her.

That would mean revealing I know that he knows that I can loop through time...

Unless I could find some evidence to arrest Meili the other way of course, I just need an excuse for me to go to Arlam and then some excuse to kidnap a little girl...

Wow.

Well I could just go to the village, get bitten, and have Beako heal me, canon yada, yada...

But that's pretty dangerous, what if one of the kids got killed by the maebeasts...

I'm an evil guy, but... I don't know, I guess you could say I'm the Rujierd of bad guys.

Besides what if Petra got killed?! Losing an A tier loli would make me sad...

There's also Rem to worry about... I don't really know if I could take her as I am right now, but that wasn't the problem...

What if she poisoned me? Or killed me in my sleep? Then it was straight to the [Shadow Garden] for me.

Ugh, problem after problem, how sad, I only have the complete knowledge of a being who can destroy worlds and I also can mind control any being I want in three days... Poor me.

Yeah, I let [Subaru Natsuki] sad boy attitude get the better of me for a moment, I am motherfucking [Orsted The Dragon God, I'm fine as long as Reinhard doesn't come knocking at my door.

The door to the dining rooms opens. "Enter Pathe- Subaru." Ram, please not in front of your boss.

"Enter, Subaru." Please add the -Kun back, Rem!

I slowly walk my way towards the door and once I enter the room I see the clown. "It's a pleasuuure meeting you Subaruuuu-Kun." Please stop, clown Dio.

I quickly take a look at the room and I notice that both Roswaal and Emilia are sitting at the massive dining table while both Rem and Ram stand beside Roswaal.

I do a little bow. "It's a pleasure meeting you Lord Roswaal." It isn't of course.

I actually thought Roswaal was an awesome character in the novel, he was a great foil to Subaru and everyone loves a great villain, but considering I am now the Batman to his Joker (Get it? Because he's a clown), I am less amused.

He motions me to sit, I do so, looking directly at him. "Nowwww, Subaruuuu-kun, Lady Emilia here has informed me of your great deeds."

I nod. "Many thanks for the acknowledgment Lord Roswaal."

He is staring right into my eyes while smiling and the he says. "But acknowledgment isn't enough is it?"

"Yes, Lord Roswaal, I would like to ask for a boon."

He's outright grinning now. "Indeeeeeed, I have already been informed of what you want." He takes a moment to think. "And I have decided to grant it, since both Lady Emilia and Ram have vouched for you."

"You have my thanks, Lord Roswaal."

He shakes his head. "No, you have my thanks Subaruuuu-Kun... But I must ask that you do something for me first." Huh?

"Huh?" I'm not good at hiding my thoughts.

"Yes, Subaruuuu-kun, have no worries, Rem and Ram here will teach you literacy no matter what, that I guarantee." He takes a sip of a cup of wine. "But I will have to test you before you become Lady Emilia's body guard... She is a candidate after all."

I nod. "That's completely understandable Lord Roswaal... So what should I do?"

"Simply defeeeat Rem." He points at the maid and she nods, and after seeing my confused face he elaborates. "Rem is actually quite the fighter, I know you bravely bested the Bowel Hunter, but since I was not there I would like to confirm your fighting strength."

That's fine... I guess, Rem is strong, but she's also clearly more of a long range fighter, as long as I can get close to her with the Sword God style I could probably take her down. "That's completely understandable Lord Roswaal... But I would like to ask two things."

Roswaal doesn't seem to be fazed, he simply nods for me to continue. "First, when will the battle take place and second... Can you lend me a sword?" I really need one.

I could use Orsted's super scary one, but considering that sword was quite straining even on an adult full powered Orsted... I would probably just die on the spot.

Also if I used on Rem, she would too most likely die on the spot, a lose-lose really.

The clown nods. "I can lend you a sword of cooourse... And the battle will happen after you are fully healed, I would not force a damaged warrior to do battle."

"Thank you Lord Roswaal." Okay, I'm going to destroy Rem!

He sips from hid drink again. "But there is one thing... Where are you from Subaruuu-Kun?"

Eh!? A surprise question!? "Uhm... Sorry?"

He puts his glass down. "I asked from where you came from Subaru." I can't help, but notice his funny way of talking stopped. "Both Lady Emilia and Ram seem to have no clue... And you did pop up in the capital and decided to help a candidate out of nowhere..."

Ah, that's understandable...

Wait! No it's isn't! You know where I'm from you damned clown! Stop making things difficult for me! "Ah... I'm a wandering swordsman my Lord..."

He chuckles. "A wondering swordsman from where? And where is your sword, swordsman?"

I try to stop the panic from showing in my face. "I broke the sword against some maebeasts, that's why I was in the capital looking for a job, swords are pretty expensive..." It's time to gamble. "Also... I'm from Vollachia."

There's gasps from the entire room. "You're Vollachian Subaru?!" Emilia finally says something.

"Yep, from a small Vollachian village called Brazil." It's better to invent a village, hopefully no one calls me on it.

The reason I didn't say I was from Lugunica is that Roswaal, as the margrave, would have called me on my bullshit immediately.

I couldn't say I was from Gusteko either, since the country was currently closed down, and my appearance is rare in Kararagi.

Roswaal seems lost in thought. "Vollachia you say? Well, I suppose that's technically not a problem if you are just a normal swordsman, another candidate also employs a Vollachian bodyguard so there is precedent for this." Thank you Priscilla! Thank you Al!

He puts his fingers in the table and starts tapping them. "But why are you not in Vollachia Subaruuuu-Kun?" At least he went back to normal. "Why would a wandering swordsman leave his nation, especially when Vollachia is known for its great fighters? Do you not dreeeeam of becoming a divine general?"

I put on a fake smile. "To see the sights, I'm not as battle hungry as other Vollachian men are."

"And yeeeet you became a wandering swordsmaaaan?" I'm fucking myself over, ain't I?

"Yes, protection is necessary no matter the country, and I'm not rich enough to hire bodyguards..." I nod to myself. "You see, it has always been a dream of mine to travel around the world." Kind of true, in my actual home planet I wanted nothing more than travel around.

"I seeeee, but you are aware that being Lady Emilia's bodyguard is not a matter of just working for a daaaay are you?" Yep, big commitment and all that.

"No need to worry Lord Roswaal, I understand that this 'contract' will be a lasting one, I do not mind working a few years for some gold." Hopefully lots of gold, guarding a princess was sure to pay well.

"That seeeeems fine, but it's still suspicious that you were unemployed in the capital... And that you have a metia, they are quite expensive, much more than a pack of bodyguards or a sword." Shit.

"I was simply unemployed for the moment, had Lady Emilia met me a few moments later I would be working as a mercenary, of that I have no doubt." I sigh. "And as for the metia... It is a gift from a friend of mine, I did not buy it or make it, but it does have sentimental vallue so I do not wish to sell it." I am lying out of my ass of course, the company gave me the 'metia', not some 'friend'.

Still Emilia speaks up. "I think that's true Roswaal, Subaru rea~lly did freak out when he thought he had lost it." Not my brightest moment.

I nod to Emilia to express my thanks. "Yes, I am trustworthy Lord Roswaal, I had hoped my fight with the Bowel Hunter would have proved that." I hate to use [Alluring Whisper] on a guy, but I'm getting nervous with all this questioning.

"I didn't meeeeean to imply anything bad, Subaruuuu-Kun." The clown apologizes. "I am simply worrieeeeed about Lady Emilia, you understand?"

I nod. "Of course Lord Roswaal, seeing as Lady Emilia is the fairest of them all I shall forgive this slight." Emilia is now blushing.

Only Emilia would blush at being called 'fairest' of all things, cute EMT, and I didn't even have to use [Alluring Whisper].

Roswaal raises an eyebrow. "Oh? Areeeee you interested in romantically pursuing Lady Emilia?"

Emilia gets up from her seat. "He isn't-"

"I am." I interrupt her, she then sits back and starts looking at me with an shocked expression.

Roswaal laughs for a bit. "Ah, my apologies Subaruuuu-Kun, I didn't mean to offend you just now, but... A wandering swordsman and a cadidate?"

I nod. "I get it, but I'm just that guy."

He looks confused. "What do yooooou mean?"

I nod again. "I mean that I have that DAWG in me Roswaal! Don't worry, soon enough I will be sweeping Emilia off her feet!"

He chuckles confused. "Veryyyy well? It's not like there's anything stopping you..."

But then Emilia raises her voice. "No! You can't!"

I put my hand on my heart. "Argh! The first rejection!"

Ram smirks from behind Roswaal. "As expected-" She then looks at Roswaal and bows. "My apologies for speaking out of turn Lord Roswaal." Ha! Get screwed Ram.

Roswaal waves her off. "It's fineeee Ram."

Emilia then makes a frustrated face at me. "But Subaru! I'm an half-elf and you are... you are..." She mumbles the final part. "Amazing."

I nod. "Indeed I am that guy! And you're cute." For real.

"But..."

I look at her. "There's no need to worry Mili, I will just prove to you in time... I'm going to have you slowly fall for me!" Actually I will stamp her in the first opportunity I get.

But hey, at least I'm letting her believe I haven't been using mind control shenanigans on her.

Emilia actually rushes out of the room blushing.

Puck is going to murder me tomorrow.

And Roswaal laughs. "Well, that was quite the showwwww!" He genuinely looks amused. "But remember Subaru-Kun, to support Lady Emilia is to support me." Ah.

I nod seriously. "Yeah, I get it, as long as you side with me I will side with you."

He looks me in the eyes. "I wonder... How many times have you told me that, Subaru Natsuki?" I chose not to answer that.

There is now an awkward silence in the room until Rem buts in. "Lord Roswaal should I pursue Lady Emilia? She hasn't even touched her food..."

Roswaal nods. "Just bring the food to her, no need to disturb a maiden in love and bring her back here." Thank you for believing in me Ros-Chi!

He then claps. "Speaking of eating... Feel free to dig in Subaruuuu-Kun, Rem is quite the cook."

I do so, sadly I still can only eat soft foods.

Damn you Elsa!

At least the food is pretty good, you can say a lot about Rem, but you can't shit talk her food.

Actually you can, there was no mayonnaise, though only [Subaru Natsuki] thought that of course.

We ate the food in relative silence, eventually Rem even returned from wherever Emilia was and once we finished eating I asked. "Um, Lord Roswaal about that healer I hear so much about..."

His face morphs into annoyance. "Yessss, I know it must be quite bothersome that I haven't taken you to her yet..." He stops for a seconds. "But recently Beatrice has been acting straaaange."

Huh? "Sorry, can you elaborate Lord Roswaal?"

He nods. "Of courseeee, you see Beatrice is a spirit of Yin that lives in this mansion, she guards a place that is quite dear to meeee."

"It's kinda crazy you have a spirit living here just to guard something, but ok."

"Indeeeeed, she's quite useeeeful, some might even say she is tooooo useful to rot away in a room." I feel like things got serious all of the sudden. "Nonetheless she stays in the mansion's library alllll day."

Yep, that's my neet all right. "So do I have to convince her to leave the library?"

He shooks his head. "No need, I can takeeeee you there at anytimeeeee."

"That's great?" So why is my stomach still in pain?

"Indeeeed, sadly for some reason she has been acting quite... Erratic todayyy, so it's better we visit her tomooooorow." Maybe she's nervous since I am new.

[Subaru Natsuki] Could understand that feeling, every time someone new came to his house he felt antsy, not that many people did of course.

[Orsted The Dragon God] thought there was something amiss however, why would Beatrice suddenly act 'erratic' after four hundred years?

Still I bow my head towards Roswaal. "Understood Lord Roswaal."

He makes an apologetic face. "There is no need to fret Subaru, tomorrow morning I shall take you to her as soon as possible, it is with a heavy heart that I apologize for not healing you myself, but sadly I am lacking when it comes to water magic."

I grin. "Honestly considering I have heard that you are a master at fire, earth, wind, yin and yang, I feel like not being able to heal is not that big of a deal."

He smiles. "My, my, thank youuuuu for the compliment Subaruuuu-Kun." His face becomes serious. "Still, I'm sure that whatever ails Beatrice will be solved soon enough... Won't it?"

"Yeah, hopefully." Stop acting all weird clown.

He gets up from the table and signals for me to do the same, he then calls Rem. "Rem, for now act as Subaruuuuu-Kun's maid, wake him up tomorrow and help him if needed, and if he's feeling up to it, start teaching him how to read and write today."

She bows. "Of course Lord Roswaal."

I grin. "Ah~ A personal maid." And a cute one at that.

Ram intervenes. "Scu- Subaru, I shall personally break your 'sword' if you try anything, and even Lord Roswaal won't be able to get you a new one."

I give her a thumbs up, I won't be trying anything with Rem, instead I will drive Rem mad and make her want to do it with me.

Ahhh, I kinda want to be pushed down by Rem in her oni form and then be used in whatever way she wants~.

I'll have you know that I can be both an S or an M depending on the situation, my debauchery knows no limits.

Anyway's time to learn how to read and write!

Learning how to read and write has been going quite smooth, the Lugunican writing system was basically Japanese, but with changed characters, and while the [Original] did not know the language, [Subaru Natsuki] certainly did.

It also helped that [Orsted The Dragon God] knew hundreds of languages, both common ones and lost ones.

Of course, those languages were now useless to me, but the thing about languages is that every time you knew one, you would then learn the next faster, actually that applied to most trades in life.

Orsted had reached the point where he could master a swordsman' style mid-battle and then surpass that swordsman.

As expected of the man that made the Sword God, Water God and North God look like jokes, he truly was an overwhelming force.

That said there was one thing slowing me down. "Sensei, please help!" Myself of course.

I have no need for help, but helping someone makes you closer to that person, so putting Rem into sensei mode was the plan.

The maid looks at my writing. "What is it Subaru?" I haven't gotten the -Kun back yet, but I am working hard!

I show her my writing. "I don't quite get this part." Rem corrects me and this cycle goes on.

Eventually I stop. "Hey Sensei? I got a question."

She nods. "Of course, ask away Subaru."

It's time to gamble again baby! "Do I smell horrible or anything?"

Her face twists in shock. "Huh? Why do you ask Subaru?"

"It's just that I actually haven't taken a bath in a while... They did clean me after my fight with the Bowel Hunter, but that was it."

She smiles. "You smell fine, Subaru, but don't worry Sensei will prepare a bath for you, Lord Roswaal should be okay with it." Ah! She's referring to herself as my sensei!

I did it! I got my Roxy maid edition! "Thanks Rem, I just got worried... You seemed to recoil every time you got close to me..."

She shakes her head. "Don't worry Subaru, you never smelled bad in the first place."

I don't? That's surprising... "Really? You were definitely making a bad face every time before."

"No, you don't smell bad... Just strong, really strong." For real?

I take a whiff of myself. "I don't really smell it, but alright..."

"Rem has a better nose than most, and you smell neither bad or good, simply strong... It reminds me of an earth dragon." Ah... That makes sense.

Of course Rem would notice my weird dragon characteristics, her nose is crazy good for some reason, still it seems like it's not Satella related at least.

Rem looks over at my material. "Still, you are progressing really fast Subaru."

I nod smirking. "Yep, yep, that's because my teacher is so great!" And also my Subaru and Orsted's memories.

She does a genuine smile. "Thank you Subaru, this Sensei is rather proud right now." Cuteeee.

She stole my heart which had already been stolen by Mili... "No need to thank me for you being amazing Rem!" Might as well start tearing down that inferiority complex.

She shakes her head, she's blushing now. "I... Am not that great Subaru, if my sister was here then..."

I interrupt her. "Yeah, Ram is great too of course, but that doesn't make you any lesser, sensei!"

"Thank you again Subaru, I see why Lady Emilia and sister warmed up so quickly to you... I... Well I'm going to get your bath ready, you've made enough progress for today."

I get up smiling. "Thanks sensei, it was great learning with you."

She starts leaving the room, but before that she turns around and says. "And it was great teaching you, Subaru-Kun."

I got my honorific back! Let's go!

I eventually manage to take that bath, and I don't even see clown penis like in canon, still now I'm laying down in my bed (not mid) edition and I still feel energitic.

So I start my good old magic training, hoping that nobody will see me using mana. Now that would be suspicious.

Still, in the middle of my puck action figure mode I stop... Isn't it better to prepare something specifically to stop Rem?

[Orsted The Dragon God] agrees, I search through my memories to try and think of something.

Anything physical is out, I can't exactly train that right now, even if I want nothing more than use a [Sword Of Light, big elemental magic is also off the table, I can't pratice that in my room...

[Disrupt Magic, That is the answer I find. It's incredible convenient and an amazing counter to mages. Rem fights using a giant flail and water magic (that she somehow also used to attack with ice, even though that should be a fire magic exclusive).

If I managed to dodge the flail and get close the fight would swing my way, and her throwing giant ice magic crystals my way would make approaching her difficult...

There was also her horn to worry about, that could make challenging her in close quarters way harder, but I'm sure I could pull something out of my ass to deal with that.

Thank you North God style, I just know it's gonna be you who's going to be the MVP at the last second.

Practicing [Disturb Magic] is actually kind of simple, I just had to use my mana to break the 'coding' of a spell so to speak.

She takes a look at us, her eyes widen when she sees me. "Betty is fine, I suppose!" She starts looking at me up and down.

Roswaal immediately notices this. "Did Subaru here do anything, Beatrice?" He still sounds worried.

She shakes her head, there's tears in her eyes. "N-no, please leave." Roswaal nods and grabs me to take me outside as well. "No, let him stay, I suppose!" She screams for Roswaal to let me go.

I am so goddamned confused and so is Roswaal, nonetheless he leaves, but before that he whispers in my ears. "Fix this." Got it boss.

Beako and I are now alone, she's sobbing... "Hey are you okay?!"

She looks me deep into my eyes and then back to her book. "Am I... I wonder?"

I get closer to her. "Is there anything I can help you with?"

She goes back to looking at me. "Yes, I suppose." She takes a deep breath to calm herself. "Is... Is your name Subaru Natsuki I wonder?"

I nod. "Yes, that's my name." She gasp in shock and then goes back to looking at her book.

After reading for a while she looks back at me. "Do you happen to also have a name related to dragons, I wonder?"

I think for a while and then nod. "Yes, I'm also known as Orsted." Shes goes from sobbing to full on crying.

Beako goes back to her book, she's still crying, but she's also... Smiling? "Y-you... Finally... I suppose... Even after the pages became blank... Betty still has a future!" She keeps stopping and looking back at what I can only assume is the [Tome Of Wisdom]. "You finally showed up! Will you make a contract with Betty I suppose?"
