[Hellblade Class Intel (Incomplete)]
[Quality]: Orange Quality
[Requirement]: None
[Description]: Disaster and death mark the overture. The Hellblade emerges amid destruction and decay, representing endless despair. Yet extremes invert—this Hellblade that destroys worlds can also become the spear that pierces the darkness. Collecting all Hellblade Class Intel allows synthesis of a red-quality Intel, unlocking the method to transfer into the strongest hidden class Hellblade (transfer possible from any class).
Ethan's eyes instantly widened—not because he was easily excited, but because this orange-quality Intel reward far exceeded anything he had imagined.
Even the incomplete portion of the Intel was already orange quality, while the complete Intel was the legendary red quality.
In Dawnfall Online, the quality tiers for weapons, items, and Intel from lowest to highest are: Gray, White, Green, Blue, Purple, Orange, Gold, Dark Gold, and Red.
In this early phase of the game, where blue-quality weapons were already extremely rare, he had obtained part of the Intel for the strongest hidden class [Hellblade].
From the description, this [Hellblade] class was unimaginably powerful—once transferred, it could absolutely crush all other classes!
But Ethan quickly calmed down. He knew a class this powerful wouldn't be so easy to get.
In fact, except for him, no other player could obtain the [Hellblade] class.
He had the [Ten-Thousandfold Intelligence Reward]—killing a monster never before defeated guaranteed Intel drops—and collecting all the [Hellblade Class Intel] was much easier for him.
Once he collected all the [Hellblade Class Intel] and completed the transfer to the strongest hidden class [Hellblade], Ethan would definitely become the most powerful, top-tier player in Dawnfall Online.
However, thinking about the less-than-one-year survival period, Ethan sighed quietly, his excitement diminishing.
Calm again, Ethan began examining the monster's corpse. It was called the [Frost Virus Fusion Experiment]. The research equipment in the Frostspire Tower's underground levels was specifically dedicated to studying it.
Ethan wasn't very interested in these details, just glanced over them briefly.
After killing this powerful monster, his level immediately rose by two!
But Ethan still had many things to do. He planned to check the character data on his watch later.
With so many Coffin Guild players dead, plenty of good loot should have dropped. Plus, he hadn't yet searched the monster's body.
To prevent the surviving Coffin Guild players from quickly arriving and surrounding him, Ethan first looted the monster's corpse, obtaining a heart-shaped item. Without inspecting it, he hurried to collect the dropped items from the Coffin Guild players.
...
In Safe Zone 9527, at the "Noob Nest" respawn point, the Coffin Guild's leader, [Overlord], stood dazed and vacant, murmuring repeatedly:
"[Windchaser], [Windchaser], who exactly is he? Who is he really?"
"There isn't such a high-level player in any other guild, so why did he suddenly appear? Why?"
After being killed by Ethan, [Overlord] learned the ID [Windchaser] from the kill notification, but no matter how hard he tried to recall, he found no information about [Windchaser].
[Overlord] had dealt with all the other guilds in Safe Zone 9527 and knew their high-level elite players very well.
But [Windchaser] was nowhere among them.
Could he be an expert from another safe zone?
As [Overlord] pondered this, [Daydreamer], who had just revived with him, wore a complicated expression and slowly said in a doubtful tone:
"Leader, I think I know who that player is. He's the one I told you about—the player who dropped the purple-quality Intel reward."
[Overlord] was completely stunned and shook his head hard, replying:
"No, no way. Our guild brothers all said that's a newbie player."
"And the player who just ambushed us was using a blue-quality weapon and was extremely smart, very good at seizing opportunities—not at all like a newbie!"
[Daydreamer] didn't know what to say. He also didn't know where [Windchaser] got a blue-quality weapon from.
Even [Daydreamer], an elite Coffin Guild player at level ten, only had a green-quality dagger.
Blue-quality weapons were generally owned only by guild leaders, wealthy players, or pro players.
How exactly did [Windchaser] manage this?
Looking at [Overlord]'s nearly broken expression, [Daydreamer] couldn't help but remind him:
"Leader, we should hurry to Frostspire Tower. Many brothers died there and dropped a lot of gear and items. If [Windchaser] is greedy, we might still trap him and get everything back!"
[Overlord] immediately nodded. The shock had completely shattered his usual calmness.
This loss was truly pushing him to the brink.
Almost all the guild's high-level players had died at least once, except those who simply hadn't logged in.
Not even counting the gear they dropped, just looking at levels, because of [Windchaser], the average level of Coffin Guild's players dropped by three or four!
That was also because the low-level players had less severe death penalties, while the high-level players lost half their levels upon dying!
Now, the Coffin Guild leader himself had fallen from a nearly level ten player ready to transfer, down to a mere level five ordinary player!
Not to mention, he spent a huge price to get that blue-quality weapon, but lost it because of death!
How could he possibly accept that!
[Overlord]gritted his teeth, speaking with intense resentment:
"Make every member log in immediately. No matter what the reason is, if anyone doesn't log in, kick them out of the guild right away!"
"Also, post a bounty task: any player who kills [Windchaser] and has a kill record will get fifty thousand coins per kill!"
"And have the guild members block off the entire safe zone. I refuse to believe he can stay outside the safe zone forever!"
Hearing [Overlord]'s last order, [Daydreamer] hesitated for a moment, then spoke up:
"Leader, our losses are severe, and our strength has dropped a lot. If we try to blockade the safe zone like before, the other guilds might band together, and we won't be able to hold them off."
[Overlord]clenched his fists tightly; bloodshot veins appeared in his eyes. He had never hated anyone this much before.
Taking a deep breath, he said slowly and firmly:
"Then we won't blockade the safe zone for now. [Windchaser] shouldn't be that smart; he definitely won't dare to come back yet."
"Let's go. We need to hurry. Hopefully, he's still inside Frostspire Tower picking up the stuff we dropped."
Soon, many Coffin Guild members hurriedly left the respawn point and rushed towards Frostspire Tower at full speed.
Meanwhile, inside Safe Zone 9527, [Flying Fish] hurriedly found [Lucas] and shouted:
"Boss! Boss! I've got huge news! It looks like something happened to Coffin Guild. Lots of their members are just standing dumbfounded at the respawn point."
"Our guys even saw Coffin Guild's leader, [Overlord]—he's become dumbfounded too!"
[Lucas] immediately thought of the player who made him leave earlier and said uncertainly:
"Could it really be that player causing all this? He clearly said he would deal with those Coffin Guild members."
[Flying Fish] waved his hand dismissively and said directly:
"No way. That guy is just a newbie player!"
"Besides, no one else could have killed so many Coffin Guild high-level players!"
[Lucas] thought it over carefully and agreed with [Flying Fish]. Maybe that player who dropped the purple-quality Intel reward was already dead.
It was a pity about that purple-quality Intel reward, though.
Just then, [Lucas]'s wristwatch vibrated.
