Alter, prince of the Evrolian fire-magic kingdom, had to watch his wife die on their wedding day. This was all caused by Fergus, who wanted to seize the throne. Driven by a deep sense of loss, Alter chose to jump into a bottomless pit with the ashes of his wife, Inessa. He entered a portal to the human world and ended up at Eclaire Academy, an elite school. There, he met a girl who not only resembled Inessa but also bore the Evlorian Kingdom's wedding mark around her neck: Adora. They seemed connected and bound. Unfortunately, Adora was already engaged to Dimitry, an arrogant and manipulative archery star. Upon learning that Dimitry had hurt Adora, Alter acted quickly to protect her. They grew closer. However, Fergus reappeared like a curse, preventing Alter from fulfilling the prophecy.
