The Flygon struggled to turn its head, but Dragonair's tail—several meters long—had already coiled tightly around it.
As Dragonair twisted its body, the Flygon, caught in its grasp, was hurled through the air with tremendous force, spinning violently.
Boom!
The Flygon slammed heavily into the ground. The force behind the impact was so great that the entire battlefield trembled from the collision.
"Draaa~"
With the Flygon defeated, Dragonair's elegant dragon eyes turned toward Goodra. Its slender body lifted slightly, and rich, blue-green energy began to surge outward.
The azure energy coalesced into the form of a savage dragon, baring its fangs as it charged straight at Goodra.
Dragon Rush!
"Goodra!"
Raihan's pupils contracted sharply as he hurriedly called out.
Goodra raised its head upon hearing the call—but it was too late!
A searing, unbearable pain coursed through Goodra's entire body, as though it had been torn apart. Unable to resist the overwhelming force, it was sent flying, crashing into the nearby wall once more.
BOOM!
With a deafening crash, the thick wall crumbled on impact, kicking up a dense cloud of dust and debris.
From the swirling smoke, the sacred and beautiful Dragonair slowly emerged, gently swaying its tail as it rose into the air. Holding its head high, it looked down upon Raihan and Oleana below with icy detachment.
Beneath the rubble, Goodra had completely lost consciousness. Not far away, Flygon also lay motionless at the bottom of a crater, utterly defeated.
"H-How can it… be this strong?"
Watching Dragonair take down two Pokémon in a 1v2 in a matter of seconds, Oleana's face turned pale.
How was this possible?!
These were Raihan's main battle Pokémon—his aces! It was a two-on-one, yet this Dragonair had defeated them both with frightening ease?
This kind of power… this Dragonair was terrifying. It couldn't possibly be weaker than Champion Leon's ace, Charizard!
And yet this guy had told her—flat out—that he only dared infiltrate the power plant because Rose and Leon weren't around.
But with strength like this, did he even need to be so cautious? With a few more Team Rocket elites, they could've raided the entire energy plant effortlessly.
Even if Leon had rushed back upon hearing the news, this person—Lucas—could still have retreated safely.
Raihan stood silently, but his entire body was trembling slightly.
He had lost—cleanly and completely. There hadn't even been a chance to fight back.
"Hahaha~ Is that all? What a letdown. I guess it's about time, anyway."
Seeing that neither Raihan nor Oleana made any move, Lucas raised his eyebrows and let out a mocking laugh.
So much for Galar's so-called second strongest Trainer.
Lucas then looked up at the sky. The battle between Eternatus and the Hero of Many Battles, Zacian, still raged on.
But it was already apparent—Zacian was clearly overwhelming Eternatus. The red light surrounding Eternatus had dimmed considerably.
Lucas clicked his tongue. "Getting beaten up pretty badly, huh~"
The strength of Zacian had surpassed his expectations.
Oleana and Raihan, meanwhile, frowned deeply at Lucas's earlier words—"It's about time." What exactly did he mean by that?
"Eternatus, use Draco Meteor."
With his crimson eyes flashing, Lucas silently connected to Eternatus again using his invisible power—Power of the Dragon.
"You get what I mean, don't you? If you want to shake off Zacian, listen to me—use Draco Meteor at full power!"
He spoke softly, a sinister smile spreading across his lips.
The time had finally come!
"Stop! Are you insane?!"
Raihan and Oleana's expressions changed drastically the moment they heard his command. Their eyes widened in fury and shock. Oleana's voice rang out sharp and shrill with rage.
They weren't shocked that Lucas could communicate with Eternatus—they were horrified by what he was telling it to do!
What did it mean for Eternatus to unleash Draco Meteor at full power?
It meant that the entire city of Hammerlocke would be obliterated. The city would be utterly destroyed by the devastating onslaught of falling dragon meteors.
"Shut up."
Annoyed by Oleana's shrill cries, Lucas swept a cold gaze over the two of them. His crimson eyes were icy and merciless.
He didn't have time to play games with these two anymore.
"Stop this now! That's the entire city of Hammerlocke! Do you even understand how monstrous this is?!"
But Oleana wasn't intimidated at all. She spoke rapidly, trying desperately to reason with him.
At this moment, the cold and proud secretary of Chairman Rose had cast aside all her dignity. Her voice was pleading now.
"Please, don't let Eternatus use Draco Meteor. The entire city will be destroyed!"
So far, the damage to Hammerlocke was still within acceptable limits. But if Eternatus launched a full-power Draco Meteor recklessly...
With Eternatus' power, the area of effect would be massive—devastating beyond imagination!
Oleana didn't even dare imagine what kind of catastrophe it would be if the whole city was leveled.
"And what does that have to do with me?"
Lucas smirked in disdain, replying casually.
"There's been more than enough time already, hasn't there? By now, all the residents of Hammerlocke should have evacuated. That's already more mercy than you deserve."
"You should be thanking me."
His voice was dripping with sarcasm and venom, making Oleana and Raihan's expressions grow even darker.
But Lucas paid them no mind. Just as he'd said, he had given Hammerlocke's people time to escape.
As for the destruction of the city—what did that matter to him?
He wasn't from Galar. The one taking the loss was the Galar League. What did that have to do with him?
"You lunatic! Turtonator!"
Raihan finally lost it and threw out another Poké Ball.
A red, bipedal turtle-like Pokémon appeared in front of him—it was Turtonator, the Fire/Dragon-type from Alola.
"I won't allow it! Even if I have to stake everything, I won't let you destroy Hammerlocke!"
Raihan clenched his fists tightly, his face resolute. He had seen through it now.
This boy standing before him was a full-blown madman—a deranged megalomaniac.
"Wow, so righteous. But seriously, what can trash like you even do?"
Lucas sneered. He'd heard these grand speeches too many times.
"Dragonair, deal with them."
He gave Dragonair a simple command and returned to focusing on communicating with Eternatus.
With Dragonair's battle instincts, even without his direct orders, it could easily handle Raihan—especially since Raihan had already lost three of his main Pokémon.
"Damn it!"
Seeing Lucas leave the fight to Dragonair, Raihan's face turned red with fury.
Did this guy think he was so weak he didn't even need to be taken seriously?!
But Lucas didn't even glance at him. Because—finally—Eternatus had responded!
"Draco Meteor is ineffective against that one."
A low, raspy voice—neither fully male nor female—resonated in Lucas's mind, making his face break into a satisfied grin.
It was Eternatus!
"Of course it's ineffective. But trust me—right now, you're not a match for Zacian. We have to retreat first."
Lucas's tone was solemn. He knew full well—Draco Meteor, a Dragon-type move, wouldn't work on the Fairy-type Zacian.
But having Eternatus use Draco Meteor was never about hitting Zacian.
"I can't escape. It's faster than me."
After a brief pause, Eternatus replied again.
If it could run, of course it would. Dignity? Pride? None of that mattered when your life was on the line.
Three thousand years ago, it had been utterly defeated by Zacian and Zamazenta. That trauma was burned into its memory.
Now Zacian was here again, and Eternatus hadn't even fully recovered. It already knew how this would end...
Of course it wanted to retreat! But how the hell was it supposed to outrun Zacian?!
Zacian could catch up in seconds!
"Don't worry. I have a way!"
Lucas smiled as he relayed his plan to Eternatus. Everything hinged on this moment—whether or not he could capture Eternatus!
Back on Raihan's side, Turtonator had just been slammed into the ground by Dragonair's powerful Dragon Tail.
Raihan looked pale—he felt like throwing up.
He couldn't even beat a Dragonair that wasn't being actively commanded?!
Damn it!
Under the dim sky, Eternatus raised its head high. Pure Dragon-type energy swirled and condensed, forming a massive glowing sphere.
Zacian paused for a moment upon seeing this—it recognized the move.
Draco Meteor.
Had it beaten Eternatus so badly that it lost its mind?
But in the next moment, Zacian's eyes turned cold. Whatever the case—this parasite had to be eliminated!
Intense blue energy engulfed Zacian's body. The sword in its mouth shimmered with light, morphing into a massive blade.
Behemoth Blade!
Zacian surged forward like a streak of blue light, racing straight toward Eternatus.
ROAR!
The Behemoth Blade struck Eternatus with a thunderous impact. Golden energy erupted in all directions as Eternatus let out a pained roar. Its massive body lost balance and came crashing down toward the ground.
But at the same time, the Draco Meteor rose into the sky—brimming with the power of stars and destruction.
"Zacian, didn't you come to protect this land? Look now—what can you really protect?"
As Eternatus fell, its low, telepathic voice echoed across the sky, reaching Zacian's ears.
Zacian's eyes narrowed sharply. But then—something seemed to dawn on it. Its expression shifted subtly as it looked up.
BOOM!
The Draco Meteor exploded at its apex, sending countless dragon meteors raining down like a fiery meteor shower.
The dragon meteors, glowing with trailing tails of light, filled the entire sky—stunningly beautiful, but terrifyingly deadly.
Zacian looked down for just a moment.
Beneath it… was the bustling human city.
And the dragon meteors above had enveloped it completely!
That damn parasite!
Zacian's eyes turned glacial. Even in defeat, Eternatus wanted to drag the whole city down with it.
