Chapter 15: Summoning School Goes to War

⚠️ Scene 1: Alarm Across the Sky

[System Alert]

Dimensional Breach Detected

Location: Azura Summoning Academy - Central Campus

Invading Force: Crimson Pact (Interdimensional Mercenary Guild)

Estimated Threat Level: Catastrophic

Jemil stood at the edge of the eastern courtyard, blinking up at the sky as streaks of crimson light carved through the clouds like knives.

Dozens of summoning circles appeared midair — but they weren't like any he'd seen before.

These weren't controlled. They were brutal. Branding circles — meant to steal summons, not bond them.

"They're not after students," Vel'Zara said coldly. "They're after us."

The wives formed a circle around Jemil as war horns blared in the distance.

The academy's shield dome flickered, and then—shattered.

The invasion had begun.

🔥 Scene 2: The Crimson Pact Attacks

Flare launched herself through the air, wings ignited.

"No one gets near him!" she shouted, throwing a spiraling pillar of fire that engulfed an enemy summoner mid-cast.

Lyra disappeared in a flicker of lightning, reappearing behind a hooded attacker and driving a dagger through his illusion glyph.

Mira summoned a tsunami wall to block enemy ranged fire while Saphira summoned celestial beasts to scatter the invaders.

"They're using blood magic," Mira shouted. "They're branding our bonds!"

Jemil felt his own summoner circle burn — it was being scanned.

📚 Scene 3: The Forbidden Library

Naia grabbed Jemil's arm and pulled him back toward the west wing.

"There's a scroll," she panted. "Hidden beneath the academy. A failsafe for broken bonds. We can't let them find it."

The two raced through collapsing hallways and down a spiraling staircase sealed by ancient sigils.

At the base, a large door of obsidian pulsed with familiar energy.

Jemil pressed his palm to it. The door opened, revealing a chamber of swirling crystal and a scroll floating at its core.

[Item Acquired: Void Contract Override]

Status: Forbidden

Effect: Allows the master to rewrite existing contracts within a 5-minute window.

"Use that and you're rewriting fate," Naia whispered. "And fate always bites back."

🩸 Scene 4: One of Their Own

Aboveground, Vel'Zara stopped mid-attack, eyes widening.

"No…"

A new figure emerged from the enemy portal — tall, draped in red and silver, wearing the mark of the Crimson Pact General.

"Hello, darling," the figure said to Vel'Zara.

"Still hiding behind broken oaths?"

"Xarion…" Vel'Zara said, her voice shaking for the first time. "You betrayed me."

"And you bound yourself to a summoner?" Xarion sneered. "This realm really does turn gods into pets."

The enemy general raised a hand.

Vel'Zara's summoning mark flickered.

"He has my old contract," she muttered. "He's trying to steal me back."

Jemil appeared just behind her.

"Like hell he will."

🛡️ Scene 5: Jemil's Stand

Jemil stepped forward, holding the forbidden scroll, heart racing.

He looked around. The school was in chaos — fire, ice, light, and shadows clashed.

But his gaze stayed locked on Vel'Zara.

"Do you trust me?" he asked.

"Even if it kills me," she whispered.

Jemil unrolled the scroll. His body glowed.

[Activating Void Contract Override]

Target: Vel'Zara

New Condition: Absolute Loyalty Anchor — No External Rebinding Allowed

Chains of glowing script surrounded Vel'Zara and burst into flame, burning through Xarion's control.

Vel'Zara screamed — not in pain, but in liberation.

Then she launched forward.

"This is MY realm now."

🧨 Scene 6: Reversal

Vel'Zara became a storm of darkness and silk, tearing through enemy lines.

Xarion attempted a counter-cast — but Jemil interrupted with a surprise spell from the scroll's second verse:

"By name and bond, I claim what you tried to unmake!"

A bolt of light shot through the battlefield, striking Xarion in the chest. His mark crumbled.

His summoning circle shattered.

The Crimson Pact portal began collapsing.

The enemy began fleeing. Xarion screamed, then vanished into the collapsing dimensional tear.

🏫 Scene 7: Aftermath

The academy grounds were in ruins, but the students were safe.

Jemil stood at the center, scorched, trembling — but victorious.

The wives gathered around him. They were bruised, exhausted… but smiling.

"So…" Lyra grinned. "When's recess?"

"You almost rewrote reality," Mira whispered.

"I had to," Jemil said, voice low. "He was going to take her."

Vel'Zara walked up and placed a hand on his heart.

"You didn't just rewrite a contract, Jemil…

You rewrote me."
