Chapter 15: Kurama is now Indoors Sized

[POV: 3rd Person]

[Scene: Kurama's Mindscape]

Asriel and Renjiro had 3 options for Kurama, but in reality it was an unharmful trap where they already knew the outcome before Kurama would even answer.

Option 1: Be sealed in a new Jinchuriki with a special seal that would allow Kurama to experience 4 of the Jinchuriki senses, the one excluded was touch, for reasons we will take to our graves.

Option 2: Run away from Konoha, be harassed by every village's ninja until Black Zetsu sends that Masked Man again and seals you in the Gedo Statue.

Option 3: Let me apply a sealing formula that shrinks you to a less threatening size without impacting your abilities and passively disrupts Genjutsu.

The answer was obvious, not being sealed away was always better, and if he could be treated as an oversized house cat over a walking weapon, who wouldn't choose Option 3?

With Kurama's choice made Renjiro and Asriel left Kurama's Mindscape, finding only half a minute had passed, likely because Kurama was entirely Chakra making the transfer of information given through the Mindscape was easier, taking less time.

Renjiro quickly whipped up the seal he practiced dozens of times in the Pure Land before coming here, and stuck it on the back of Kurama's neck. Kurama was awake during this time and to say it was disorienting would be an understatement, but the discomfort didn't last long, and Kurama shrank from an enormous 300 meters tall to a manageable 2 meters, compressing Chakra was more difficult than the shrinking part of the seal, but with Hagoromo's knowledge it was relatively simple, mostly because it was the only seal he focused on, besides the Jinchuriki seal, which he left 70% completed as he thought he would likely be able to convince Uncle Kurama to settle down without it.

Fortunately, it worked out in his favor and Kurama was now a Indoors sized fox instead of Mountain sized, an improvement overall, Asriel was happy his uncle was huggable size now, Kurama blushed. What a tsundere fox.

[Scene: Beyond the Outskirts of Konoha]

[Track Change: Naruto Shippuden 'Senya (Itachi's Theme)']

Minato rushed over as he saw the Nine-Tails shrinking, it's eyes no longer bared the Sharingan, and he saw it giving Asriel a ride, who was still hugging his new uncle. Minato slowly approached, Kurama noticed him first but didn't attack, Asriel switched back with Renjiro as he dismounted Kurama and made his way to greet Minato.

"Lord Fourth, I have broken the Genjutsu on the Nine-Tails and negotiated it's peaceful return to the village. I know you must have questions; I will willingly answer them with you and the clan heads present at the Hokage office if that is acceptable."

Minato felt like he had been slapped. The Nine-Tails and peaceful in the same sentence was ridiculous. However, he did have many questions, if Renjiro were willing to answer that would be amazing.

"We will discuss this later at the Hokage Office, first I must conduct damage control and assess our losses."

"Very well, Lord Fourth, if you have need of my Medical expertise you may call on me when you must, I will wait inside the Hokage office with the Nine-Tails."

With that Asriel and Kurama leisurely walked on Asriel's [Star Blazing] back to Konoha. Minato left using [The Flying Thunder God] and assessed the damages, whether it was because of the swift removal of the Nine-Tails, or Renjiro's help the only deaths were the midwife, 4 Anbu killed by the Masked Man, and 5 Anbu killed by being crushed to death by the summoned Nine-Tails.

Minato realized pretty quick that the Nine-Tails never directly caused a single death, the 5 who were crushed died because of the mask man summoning the Nine-Tails intentionally on top of them.

This shocked Minato as he expected more than just 10 casualties in such an event, then he remembered, Kushina. Renjiro claimed to have saved Kushina, restoring her vitality, and getting her and Naruto out of the danger zone. He snapped his fingers 4 Anbu dropped to one knee in front of him.

"Status Report, also where is Kushina?" Minato said in a dangerously low voice.

"Reporting to Hokage-sama," an Anbu with a Dog mask raised his head. "Uzumaki Kushina and her newborn are both safely secured in the Sarutobi estate, she has been checked on by three medic-nin and there are no complications, she is perfectly healthy. The newborn has been examined and is also healthy, Kushina has named him Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze."

Minato relaxed significantly, he owed Renjiro and Asriel an enormous debt, saving his wife, stopping the Nine-Tails rampage, and even somehow calming it's rage and shrinking it to the size of a living room. Without their help Konoha would have faced substantially more casualties, possibly including his wife and newborn son.

"I need all clan heads to report to the Hokage building ASAP, this is an order." Minato told the four Anbu before him. 'Tonight is going to be a long night' Minato thought.
