King of Bohemia

In St. Vitus Cathedral, the important nobles and bishops of the entire Kingdom of Bohemia gathered to attend the King of Bohemia's coronation ceremony and swear allegiance to the King.

Guards from Vienna had already brought the crown of saint wenceslaus, stored as a permanent collection in Hofburg Palace, to Prague.

Originally, this crown should have been permanently kept in St. Vitus Cathedral as Bohemia's national treasure.

However, Charles IV's son, Wenceslaus IV, often had to store the crown elsewhere due to political turmoil.

This crown later fell into the hands of Wenceslaus IV's brother, Sigismund, who used it when he was crowned King of Bohemia outside Prague in 1420.

After Sigismund's death, Albrecht II took this crown back to Vienna for safekeeping.

Now, this golden crown, adorned with rubies and sapphires, finally served its true purpose.

After a lengthy anointing ceremony and a solemn oath, Archbishop Carrol carefully placed the magnificent crown of saint wenceslaus firmly on Laszlo's head.

Led by Rosenberg, all the Bohemian nobles, Moravian nobles, and the two dukes of Silesia present swore allegiance to the King.

There were few common people left in the city to celebrate the King's coronation, so this task was now performed by the Imperial Army's soldiers.

They cheered wildly, celebrating the Emperor finally claiming his last crown.

For a full forty-eight years since Wenceslaus IV's death, the King of Bohemia had not set foot in Prague, a fact that had become a popular topic of conversation after meals.

Until this day, the rumors finally came to an end, as Laszlo entered Prague as a victor, declaring that the Habsburg Family was about to establish a strong and powerful rule in Bohemia.

The Bohemian Parliament Hall, which had not been used for a long time, was once again bustling with activity as nobles and bishops gathered.

Laszlo convened all the nobles and bishops who attended his coronation to discuss the future of the Kingdom with them.

"Your Majesty, we should rebuild a Bohemian Parliament completely dominated by Catholic believers, and under your leadership,

continue to cleanse the Hussites and bring better development to Bohemia," Rosenberg proposed with anticipation.

Laszlo was noncommittal about this suggestion; whether the Bohemian Parliament should exist and how it should exist were questions that required careful consideration.

The Moravian nobles stated that they would follow all of His Majesty's arrangements.

The Moravian separatist rebellion before the First Hussite Wars and the subsequent severe impact of the Hussite Wars made the Moravian nobles unwilling to work with the Bohemian nobles again.

The two dukes of Silesia held a similar attitude; rather than establishing a Bohemian Parliament, they preferred to pledge direct allegiance to the monarchy to gain greater autonomy.

The event panel reappeared, and Laszlo signaled everyone to stop arguing, then he began to ponder the future of the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Event: Crown of Bohemia

With the Hussites completely annihilated, you have been crowned in St. Vitus Cathedral, becoming the true King of Bohemia.

Now, you need to worry about the future of Bohemia and your family's rule in Bohemia. Should you rebuild the Bohemian Parliament? Or should Bohemia be divided? Vassals from different regions of the kingdom have expressed their wishes, and the final decision will be yours to make.

Option One: Rebuild the Parliament

The nobles from Bohemia are attempting to re-enter the core of the kingdom's power through this rare power reshuffle, but simply rebuilding the Parliament does not align with the Empire's interests. We need a clear treaty to restrict the power of the Bohemian Parliament and reclaim the lost Elector rights, which is a necessary means to consolidate royal power.

Gain Modifier (Parliamentary Politics): Increase Bohemia's stability, increase Bohemia's tax revenue, increase the loyalty of Bohemia's Catholic nobles.

Option Two: Fractured Kingdom

The Moravians and Silesians have long suffered under Bohemia. Now that the King, with the might of a great victory, is about to rebuild the order of the Kingdom of Bohemia, they are determined to secure more rights for themselves. If their request is granted, the Bohemian main kingdom will be divided into three, with independent regional estates established in each area to replace the Kingdom Parliament. Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia will each be brought under the Emperor's rule. The Emperor can seize this opportune moment to abolish the Bohemian elective monarchy and firmly secure the crown of Bohemia in the hands of the Habsburg monarch.

Gain Modifier (Divided Kingdom): Increase the loyalty of Moravian and Silesian nobles, significantly reduce the tendency for separatist rebellions in the Kingdom of Bohemia.

Seeing these two options, Laszlo immediately made his decision.

Although Option One could rebuild the kingdom's order faster, retaining the Bohemian Parliament would ultimately lead to disputes.

It would be better to take advantage of the severe blow to Bohemia's local forces to separate the long-disaffected Moravia and Silesia. Although nominally the three regions would still belong to the Kingdom of Bohemia, administratively, they would be independent and managed by the Emperor's court government.

Laszlo did not hesitate for too long and decisively chose Option Two.

"Gentlemen, please listen to my decision. This is the will of the Emperor, and it cannot be defied or changed."

Laszlo's domineering tone immediately silenced everyone present, and Rosenberg suddenly had a bad premonition.

"Since Charles IV completed his coronation in Prague, this crown was destined to be a sacred object that would unite the kingdom." Laszlo took off the crown from his head, stroking the splendid jewels adorning it. "However, we must admit—when Wenceslaus IV abandoned the dignity of the King, when Emperor Sigismund and Emperor Albrecht II, who are my grandfather and father, fled from Bohemia in defeat, the crown of Bohemia was left with only the weight of gold and jewels."

Upon hearing this, Rosenberg tried to rise and speak, but Laszlo raised a hand to stop him.

People noticed that the Emperor had revealed his sword and the medals on his chest, which seemed to embody the power from Austria,

Hungary, and other dynastic territories.

This prominent authority silently oppressed everyone present, making them clearly realize that no one could change the Emperor's decision.

"During the Great Moravian Turmoil, nobles from the Moravian border regions once attempted to break free from the weak Wenceslaus IV, ultimately failing. In the First Hussite War, heretics from Bohemia swept through Moravia and Silesia, and the people of these two regions paid a huge price to resist the heretics. In the recently concluded Second Hussite War, you also demonstrated your loyalty and reliability to me. I think it is now time to repay your loyalty; the gentlemen of Moravia no longer need to endure interference from Prague, and the forests and mines of Silesia should be managed by those who truly understand them."

The Emperor turned to look at the map of the Kingdom of Bohemia hanging on the wall, picked up the King's scepter, and drew two marks on the map. "From today onwards, the Bohemian Prime Ministry, Moravian Prime Ministry, and Silesian Prime Ministry will be established in Prague, Brno, and Breslau, respectively. The officials' powers and appointments will be discussed separately with the nobles of each region later. A Bohemian Kingdom Court Prime Ministry will be established in Vienna, responsible for coordinating and managing all matters of the three regions. Each Prime Ministry jurisdiction will have the right to establish regional estates and send representatives to participate in the Vienna Estates Assembly."

The scribe attending the meeting received the Emperor's instructions and immediately began to draft a new decree on the spot, recording all of the Emperor's statements in written form.
