Den saw himself. The main difference between him, and the clone was the clothes both of them wore. Den himself was still wearing the prospector outfit, while the clone was wearing a suit. The hair on Den was unkempt, while the person in front of him had his hair combed. Actually, it was mainly a feeling, and his brown hair that he had. His eyes looked soulless, they had no pupils.
Both of them were unnaturally white. Unlike his own naturally brown eyes.
"What do you mean, I'm him?"
The clone looked at him. He was holding in something. Laughter?
"This is the first time, this isn't how I expected us to meet. I'll listen to him on how to deal with you."
Then he looked down, then to the side of them.
"Actually, I forgot about that. Guest, please wait here, and don't question what's about to happen."
Den looked to the side; he then saw the tip of a sword appear out of nowhere. A portal began to open.
Den blinked, and then he was in an office. He looked around the office, he saw it was mostly blank besides a few pictures, but the images on them were very blurry. Probably the creator of this place was either lazy or made it on the fly.
He looked in front of him.
"Hello, sorry about that. I didn't realize that would happen."
Den saw himself again. This time his hair was still clean, but it seemed a little disheveled on the sides. The suit was a little dirty but was mostly clean. It seemed he had quickly tried to clean everything off but wasn't able to get rid of everything.
"Who are you?"
Den asked this question; he was free to speak. The man looked at him, well it looked like he was looking at him, the eyes made it hard to tell.
"Who am I? Well, you wouldn't know, but I think the best word in your language would be a demi-god. A being with incomprehensible power, but not infinite."
Den looked at him, he had one question in mind after he said that.
"Why are you being so honest? Most beings would have just said their power was incomprehensible, but you added the not infinite part."
The clone covered his face, then looked down and mumbled something. Den couldn't hear what he was saying, but he could tell he was annoyed.
"The reason, I don't want to deal with that guy again. I really hate him, even if we are technical allies."
The clone then looked at him again.
"I am here to offer you a deal, especially since the original person who I offered the deal to is about to escape the need for the deal."
Den noticed a contract appear in front of him as if it had always been there.
"My power will only truly appear in about several thousand years, but I will give you the opportunity to revive yourself and kill the man near you."
Then a smile appeared on his face.
"You do want to kill him, don't you?"
Den looked at the contract and the words were written in a language he didn't know, but he felt as if he could understand them even if he didn't truly understand the meaning behind all the words.
"A brief summary of the deal, you become my vessel and take my name as your own. Your name will be lost, but that doesn't matter because with my power, you will become stronger than you can ever imagine."
The clone looked at Den and finished the terms of the deal.
"I ask that you kill the man near you in reality. You know the man you have begun to hate, the man without the arm, the one who let your loved one die. I ask that you slaughter him."
Den had seen the contract, he heard the clauses, he heard the things he had to do. He realized his hatred, and how he was being used, but was that really a bad thing. If he could slaughter the thing that let Lydd die, let his friends die, he would.
"I accept."
----------
Den woke up, and he saw Raiden crouching down. Raiden was to his left, the same hand where his power glove was on. Raiden looked down as Den grabbed his ankle with the glove.
Den was going to crush his ankle first, then kill him. Everything was working in his favor, the sound of the hammer wasn't ringing anymore, and he had the element of surprise.
He only had to think of one thing.
'Kill.'
