I know it's stupid and shameless for an author to leave more than one review, but I still have things to clarify about the book. COLD is a story about a group of teenagers who are tasked with stopping an undead apocalypse but end up uncovering dark secrets about the apocalypse and the world itself. Once again, it isn't a romance-based novel. If it was, it would be a female-oriented fantasy.(THE ROMANCE WILL BE SLOWBURN) I searched for a book cover and finally found the one that says me. I really don't like bright book covers for a mature, deep mystery, immersive world-building novel. And this book is the definition of all of it. I wanted a book cover that aligns with the plot and theme. Not a book cover that says "OP MC" while the plot says "Dual Protagonists in Horror and Mystery world." COLD will be featuring dual protagonist (a male and a female lead). But just because it's a dual protagonist novel with opposite sex as MCs doesn't mean it's going to be romance. In fact, the characters in the novel are so busy with tension and mysteries that they don't have enough time for constant romance. I would love to tell you even a FL can farm aura better than 10 Sung Jin-Woos. If you don't believe me, check it out yourself. Also… it's a slow-burn mystery novel. The first volume might feel complicating, but that's what makes mystery a mystery. You don't need me to tell you everything. Find it out yourself. Unlike most slow-burn mysteries, there will be actions, crazy fight scenes, and great suspense. If you're a fan of a book that gives characters weird abilities but turns it into something legendary, then be my guest. The MCs will surely make decisions that will make you question them. Yes... That was a deliberate action by yours truly. I want to make my characters feel real. We're humans and we make decisions we later regret or question. If I write a character that does everything perfect, wins every fight without stress, makes a decision that will always turn out good… then won't you get bored? C'mon this ain't Disney Junior. About the harem… I’d like to politely say NO. Overpowered? Another polite NO. If you think all I've said here is a lie, why don't you check yourself…

Immersive and atmospheric. The pacing? Deliberately slow at the start, but for a reason. The action? When it hits, it hits hard. This isn’t a story that throws explosions at you for shock value. It builds. And when it breaks, it breaks everything. Everything about this novel is slow burn except for the fight scenes..well explained, suspenseful and epic fight scenes...You'll read characters use weird abilities and make it legendary. There’s no harem. There’s no OP wish-fulfillment fantasy. Just mystery, fear, grit, and the slow collapse of everything you thought you understood. If you’re the type of reader who enjoys uncovering secrets, analyzing flawed heroes, and watching a dark story evolve into something unforgettable… then welcome to COLD. You're in the right place.
