Chapter 1: A New Friend
Ali was a happy boy. He lived in a small town with his parents, his little sister Amina, and his grandmother Nani. Ali was ten years old. He loved to play cricket, eat mangoes, and laugh with his family.
Every day after school, he helped his father at the fruit shop. His father sold apples, bananas, and sweet mangoes. People in the town liked Ali because he always smiled and said, "Have a nice day!"
One evening, Ali's father said something special.
"Ali, remember this," he said. "Enjoying life is the key to success."
Ali looked up. "What do you mean, Papa?"
His father smiled. "It means when we are happy, kind, and help others smile, we are truly successful."
Ali thought about these words.

The next day at school, Ali saw a new boy. The boy was sitting under a tree, all alone. He looked sad and tired.
Ali went closer and said, "Hello, I'm Ali. What's your name?"
The boy looked up slowly and said, "Rafi."
"Would you like a mango?" Ali asked and gave him one from his bag. "It's from our shop."
Rafi took the mango and gave a small smile. Ali sat beside him.
"You can play with us if you want," Ali said kindly.
Rafi said nothing, but he followed Ali to the cricket ground. The other kids welcomed him. Rafi hit the ball and laughed. That was the first time Ali saw Rafi truly smile.
---
After the game, Ali brought Rafi to his home. Amina shared her toy car. Nani gave them warm roti and honey. Rafi laughed at Nani's silly stories.
Ali felt happy. He didn't give Rafi money or a gift, but he gave him joy. And that joy made Ali feel strong inside.
That night, Ali remembered his father's words again:
"Enjoying life is the key to success."
He smiled and thought, "Now I understand."
