The second day was meant to be the day Kelin stormed San-Jamb Maximum Prison.
His crew was in motion.
Celin's location was confirmed.
The Green Bender Cult was ready.
But fate had another plan.
A Man Named Kate
As Kelin made his way through the city outskirts, a sleek black car pulled up beside him with tinted windows and bulletproof armor. The door opened, and a deep voice spoke:
> "Get in. We need to talk."
Kelin paused, one hand on his blade—until he saw the badge.
Five silver stars.
It belonged to Kate, a legendary police commander known across the underworld. Ruthless. Clean. Respected. Untouchable.
But something was different about him now.
He wasn't dressed in his usual uniform.
He looked... desperate.
Inside the car, the air was tense.
Kate didn't waste time.
> "I know who you are. Kelin Felin. Hacker. Gang leader. San Track's Ghost."
"You want your brother out of prison."
Kelin stared at him in silence.
> "I'll open Celin's cell door. No alarms. No bullets. No casualties. Walk in, walk out."
> "But there's something I want in return."
Kelin leaned in.
> "What's the job?"
Kate's eyes narrowed.
> "There's an officer named Commander Drax. He used to work with me. Now he knows too much."
> "He's threatening to expose certain... files. Files that connect me to crimes the public would never forgive."
> "I want him gone. Quietly."
Kelin's expression changed.
He had done a lot of things—hacking, stealing, burning—but cold murder for a dirty cop? That felt different.
> "You want me to kill a man… so you'll free my brother?"
Kate didn't blink.
> "Yes."
> "You don't need to like it. You just need to do it."
Kelin stepped out of the car, pacing under the flickering lights of an old alleyway.
> "If I don't take this deal… I risk Celin dying behind bars."
> "If I do… I become the weapon of a corrupt officer. Just like the people who destroyed our family."
He looked up at the night sky and sighed.
Sometimes, in a war, you have to fight dirtier than your enemies to protect the ones you love.
He returned to the car, eyes sharp and voice cold.
> "Where do I find Drax?"
Kate handed him a tablet with a location pinned on the screen:
> "Dock 17. Midnight. He's always alone. You've got one shot."
> "Do it clean. And I'll make sure Celin walks free tomorrow morning."
Meanwhile… in Prison
Celin sat in the dark corner of his cell, unaware of the deal being made for his freedom.
But his heart beat differently that night.
Like something was shifting outside.
Like his fate… was changing.
