5: Scouting/Planning/Competing

Monday Afternoon, January 10th, Beacon Hills Highschool, Beacon Hills, California....

Lucas was seventeen— and not forever seventeen like Edward Cullen's weird ass. So, he took Junior classes like any other junior in highschool.

As a result, he was split from the rest of the cast for the most part during classes. Which was fine. It gave him a break. He was getting overstimulated as he interacted with the new world and tried not to overfathom the fact that he truly was in Teen Wolf with currently unrivaled power.

Being away from everyone who had an impact on plot did one other thing as well. It gave him time to plan.

As he sat through his classes, it became very apparent that he was a few levels ahead of the public norm. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but he wasn't nearly as dull as the teachers seemed to assume everyone was. It was actually quite depressing.

But as said before, Lucas spent his time planning.

He used a spare notebook one of his classmates gave him to write a roadmap of sorts. It was set with possibilities, people of interest, tests and more. He used his lycanthropic speed to write faster, but not too fast. He already had enough stares. Some better than others.

The bulk of the writings went as follows:

***

—Lucas Corvan's Teen Wolf Survival/Succession Plan—

-GOALS

• GROW THE PACK. (Instead of immediately focusing on season one main cast members, find people that work and need the bite the same way Derek did at the start of Season two. At the same time, learn the extent of your alpha spark. There's a balance here. Don't rush. Don't bite too many people at once when you don't know the risk or result. Start with someone safe.)

• INTEFERE BEFORE ENGAGING HUNTERS. (The wolf is cunning. Kinda cringe I know fuck off. But it's true. I should model my style of operation after my brother-species. I know I'm strong as all hell and my existence is making them panic, but everyone's more dangerous when they're afraid. With my plot knowledge I have many avenues to take in terms of making their lives more difficult. I currently have three focuses. CAR/GEAR DAMAGE. ALISON. PRINCIPLE (IF Gerard arrives and tries to take over the school again.))

• RECRUIT DEREK AND DEATON. (For any lore I may be forgetting, they're both well versed. Plus, Deaton way be able to help me understand why my spark isn't working the same. If I plan to get that close to him. Not to mention, Derek is strong for a beta since he's kinda sorta werewolf royalty vegeta style.

• ASSIST SCOTT'S TRUE ALPHA TRANSFORMATION. (The same way the nemeton brings about the true beginning and end of Teen Wolf, Scott becoming a True Alpha brings the beginning and end of my power growth here. In theory. Which I need. Especially if I'm going to other stronger worlds. If my spark infusion theory is correct, I need the Alpha Pack like a need a meal. Literally. Plus, I'm not really interested in brutalizing innocent teenage boys. Even if they're annoying as fuck at the start.)

TO BE CONTINUED….

Lucas didn't take the time to write anymore and try and peer any further ahead into the future as he didn't want to grow entirely dependent on theory or be affected by it passively. Especially when it came to the Dread Doctors. Or a Nazi Werelion. Lucas looked forward to ripping his throat out, though.

The rest of the day was calm. After quickly learning the curriculum was a little underwhelming, he spent his time with his senses alert and tracking the nearby movements of Chris and his hunters.

Surely, he was adding more security to Alison due to how close the fight with Peter was.

Another reason to damage their cars. And then ultimately them.

But that was for later.

The school day came to an end. By then, Lucas had a blazing migraine from the ring of the bells which were hard on his sensitive ears.

He left his last class massaging his temples angrily. "Ok so, even if both silver and Wolfsbane don't incapacitate me, my senses can be turned against me. Noted. Obviously."

As he turned the corner to head down the halls, he walked straight into someone who let out a startled yep.

Lucas refocused himself and looked down to find Alison blushing and laughing to herself.

"Hi….. sorry." She said before dropping down to begin gathering her things.

"Oh, how cliche." Lucas dropped down to stay level with her.

After grabbing a few papers and notebooks, Alison looked up to find Lucas staring. "Usually the guy helps in this scenario."

"I know. But I'm not the usual guy. And I think I like watching you struggle." Lucas replied with a forcibly seductive face.

Alison grinned and shook her head disapprovingly, "That…. was so bad."

They both laughed as Lucas grabbed the last of the items with two hands and stood up with her.

"Yea— I'm defintely not going into acting. Crushing honestly." Lucas replied.

"You should probably pursue the NFL." Alison shrugged.

"…what?" Lucas was thrown off since he'd never heard such a comment in all seventeen years of his life.

Alison looked from his veiny large hands back up to his face where his thick jawline, high cheekbones and light stubble loomed over her. Then, she brought one of her books up to cover half of her face as she whispered, "You're kind of….. huge."

Lucas only then remembered his new form and quickly played it off, "I prefer the term well dieted."

Alison shook her head, "I don't. I don't think anyone does. Or else they wouldn't be staring so hard."

Lucas shrugged, "Oh I don't know….. pretty new girl, handsome brooding new older guy. We're the main characters today, silver."

Alison sighed and closed her eyes, "Ohhhhh I don't like it, wolf-bird."

Lucas leaned against the locker he stood beside, sticking his hands in his leather jacket pockets and sighed, "That's alright. We all like you anyway."

Alison smiled more sweetly as she held his gaze.

Something instinctive and carnal rustled itself awake from a long seventeen year virgin slumber inside him.

Alison's smile changed, "Y-your eyes are the strangest color right now—"

Quickly, Lucas shut his eyes and thought to himself, "Fuck! Another cliche. Now I'm in the place of Edward's grooming ass."

He cleared his throat and tried to calm himself as he rubbed his eyes, "It's the….lights. They mess with the color."

"….really?"

"Yea."

Behind him, his ears picked up a familiar pair of voices.

"The new students are already a couple?" Jackson asked.

"And they're both hot." Lydia replied before stammering, "Uhh— objectively speaking. Not my type, though."

"You think he's trying out for Lacrosse?" Jackson asked.

"I think he'd be crazy not to." Lydia replied.

"Is everything ok? Do you need to go to the nurse?" Alison asked suddenly, regaining Lucas's attention.

Lucas nodded, opening his eyes as they turned back to normal, "I'm good. The fame is getting to me."

"Oh, so it's not just me."

Lucas shook his head before looking behind him, causing Alison to also look behind him at Jackson and Lydia staring at them.

Since it was season one— sort of, Lydia still wore her flowy dress-blouses and curled her hair— to Jackson's liking. She had the same plump cheeks, strawberry blonde hair and lovely green eyes.

Jackson still looked like a prick with his perfect hair, perfect skin and whatever.

"I think you've got some new friends to make." Lucas pushed up off the locker.

Alison raised an eyebrow, "You don't think they're here for you?"

"I'm kind of hoping they aren't." Lucas replied.

Alison laughed and flashed that foxy half-smile again, "So you're leaving me?"

"Very regretfully." He held out a hand, "Until tommorow."

She rolled her eyes and took his hand in hers, "Sure."

Lucas playfully brought it to his lips and kissed the back of her hand.

Alison gasped and laughingly pushed him away, "Get out of here!"

Lucas walked the halls, back in his own head and still feeling pain there. Even though he was of a good mood.

"This is fun. Alison is fun. Living is fun. Better than I was doing. But it's time to get back to work. It's time to go play some lacrosse."
