Reflection

"A genius… This is a true genius."

The Headmaster looked excitedly at the portrait of Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni on his office wall, tears of excitement streaming down his face, making his bald head shine even brighter.

Not only Aozaki Mahiru, but even Kuchiki Cangchún couldn't help but narrow his eyes.

"Captain-Commander Yamamoto has a spirit in hell; our Soul Society can still prosper for another two thousand years."

Mahiru, who was happily drinking tea, almost choked to death, his face clearly struggling to suppress his laughter.

"Um… Headmaster, Captain-Commander Yamamoto is still alive."

Kuchiki Cangchún hesitantly raised his hand and said.

"I know, he's not about to die… Ahem… What I mean is, isn't Captain-Commander Yamamoto getting old?"

The Headmaster lightly coughed twice and said with emotion:

"After working so hard for Soul Society for so many years, someone can finally share his burden."

Kuchiki Cangchún was dumbfounded.

Did the Headmaster just curse the Captain-Commander? And then he changed his words so quickly; lies just flowed from his mouth.

He remembered the Headmaster wasn't like this before. Could it be that Mahiru stimulated him too much, stimulating him to this extent?

It should be like this; otherwise, it doesn't make sense. It can't be that he was too happy, causing his true nature to be exposed, right…

" Aozaki Mahiru, come, let's go to the Kido Field. Let the Headmaster see your Shikai." The Headmaster grinned, revealing what he thought was a kind smile.

Unfortunately, his old face had nothing to do with good looks and could not make Mahiru feel any closeness. This smile could only stop children from crying at night.

Mahiru smiled and followed the Headmaster and Kuchiki Cangchún to the Kido Field, letting out a turbid breath, glancing at Matsumoto Rangiku and Gin, who were waiting outside the door, and slowly called out:

"Illuminate, Senbonzakura!"

Aozaki Mahiru slowly drew his Zanpakuto. A white ribbon was attached to the hilt at some point, with a cross-star blade ring connected to the ribbon.

He inserted his finger into the blade ring and gently swung his finger, causing the blade to spin and dance.

"The Zanpakuto has undergone a form change, and the spiritual pressure has indeed increased threefold. Is it a direct attack-type Zanpakuto?"

The Headmaster slowly stood up, his broad palm stroking his long-grown beard, his body leaning slightly forward, observing carefully.

His smiling face remained, without the slightest disappointment.

Although direct attack-type Zanpakuto are relatively singular in terms of attack methods compared to Kido-type ones, this can be compensated for by other means.

After being the Headmaster of the Lingshu Institute for so many years, he finally encountered a once-in-a-millennium genius.

This child might be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with Captain-Commander Yamamoto and the first Kenpachi, Captain Unohana.

One day in the future, when this kid becomes a pillar of Soul Society, the world will know that this old man discovered this genius!

Thinking of this, the Headmaster couldn't help but grin, revealing a silly smile.

Looking at the Headmaster's gradually unrestrained smile, for some reason, Aozaki Mahiru and Kuchiki Cangchún suddenly felt a sense of helplessness in their hearts.

Mahiru looked directly at the Headmaster, who was lost in thought, and said faintly:

"Headmaster, this should be enough, right?"

"No problem, this Zanpakuto will be yours from now on!"

Mahiru sheathed his sword, caressing his beloved blade, a glint flashing in his eyes.

Only he knew the true power of this sword.

The three chatted for a while, and Mahiru and Kuchiki Cangchún were personally sent out by the Headmaster.

Kuchiki Cangchún followed behind Mahiru, and as he stepped out of the teaching building, his footsteps paused.

" Aozaki Mahiru, you must be extra careful in the coming days."

Mahiru looked at the worried Kuchiki Cangchún and did not speak.

Kuchiki Cangchún thought for a moment and said, "The current Soul Society is not as peaceful as it appears on the surface. The power struggles among the noble clans are intensifying."

"All major factions are frantically expanding their power, just to increase their say, and even the Kuchiki has not been able to stay out of it."

"What those noble clans lack most now are talented young people like you. Your excellence will undoubtedly enter their sights."

"Once you accept the recruitment of those noble clans, you will become a sword in their hands, and your destiny will no longer be your own."

"To them, swords are weapons, and only weapons. If they are damaged, they are scrap iron that should be discarded, and they don't care where they end up being thrown."

"Moreover, if you join a certain faction, you will undoubtedly become a thorn in the side of other factions, and they never show mercy to their enemies."

"We who hold high positions are so dirty. You should have a bright and splendid life. Don't fall into this disgusting quagmire for temporary pleasure."

At the end of his speech, Kuchiki Cangchún even showed a self-deprecating smile.

In fact, being in the vortex was not what he wished for, but being born into the Kuchiki, one of the Four Great Noble Clans, destined him to be inevitably drawn into it.

He genuinely hated this reality, but he was powerless.

"Teacher Cang, you are a good person."

Mahiru shook his head and said seriously:

"Don't worry, I'm not interested in the wealth offered by the noble clans. My only thought now is to cultivate well at the Lingshu Institute."

These were Mahiru's true feelings.

He had quite a bit of interaction with the noble clans, and while he didn't have a complete grasp of the current situation in Soul Society, he had a general understanding.

If it were peacetime and he was noticed by a noble clan, joining them might allow him to thrive.

But now, Soul Society was too chaotic. Family heirs were dying in droves. For a commoner from Rukongai like him to join a noble clan would be a suicidal act.

Don't look at his current Sixth Grade spiritual power; among the assassins and death squads raised by the noble clans, he really couldn't be considered that powerful.

Looking at Mahiru's serious expression, Kuchiki Cangchún breathed a sigh of relief.

The alluring world was dazzling; money and beauties were plentiful for those noble clans.

However, Mahiru's firm expression and words should be able to resist such temptations.

After bidding farewell to Kuchiki Cangchún, Aozaki Mahiru walked towards his dormitory.

His spiritual pressure had increased too much today, so he didn't have time to find Teacher Yui for physical training.

He had to master his spiritual pressure, and also use Blade Meditation to converse with Senbonzakura.

The Central Spirit Arts Academy dormitories were divided into three types.

One type was collective dormitories, usually six male students per room and four female students per room.

Another type was single rooms. These dormitories were generally assigned to students with higher aptitude, allowing them to have a good cultivation environment. The dormitory for Mahiru and his two friends was this type.

The last type was less of a dormitory and more of a mansion, with its own private courtyard and even allowing for servants.

To live in this type of dormitory, one not only had to pay money but also needed noble status.

Upon entering the dormitory area, Mahiru was surprised to find a Teacher waiting for him, and his dormitory had been moved to the mansion area.

One could only say that geniuses, no matter where they were, received preferential treatment.
