Chapter 19: She’s Not Actually an Angel—She’s a Fallen Angel, Isn’t She?

Remembering his battle with Lucemon, Sirzechs felt mentally exhausted.

Honestly, he thought he was dead for sure back then.

Especially when she later visited the Underworld like nothing had happened, he really wanted to throw her out—but he couldn't win. She had technically held back.

In her words: "I didn't think you'd survive, but I guess you're not bad."

Now Sirzechs finally understood: her idea of "not going too far" was just stopping short of killing him.

Of course, she didn't finish the fight. According to Lucemon, someone had told her not to make a scene, so she stopped after proving her point.

On reflection, it was better to befriend her than keep fighting.

She could've leveled the Underworld if she wanted to.

Thanks to Ajuka and Serafall, order in the Underworld was restored.

Fortunately, the fight had happened in the clouds. No one had seen Sirzechs at his worst.

If they had, certain unruly factions might've acted up.

Even now, although Sirzechs and the others were Satans, the Old Satan Faction still lingered.

Meanwhile, Ajuka and Serafall were absolutely worn out.

Letting an angel wander the Underworld like this? It was enough to drive them mad.

If it weren't for someone apparently restraining her, things might've been worse...

Still, showing up just to pick a fight with a Satan was outrageous enough.

Also, when she said "Lucifer," her tone had been… off.

But her expression was unmistakable: that was the look of disdain.

As if to say, "So this is all the Satan Lucifer amounts to?"

"Lord Lucemon, are you not planning to leave the Underworld?"

Sirzechs looked exasperated, subconsciously clutching his chest.

Lightbeast noticed and casually walked over, sat down, and crossed her legs.

Her head swayed slightly—though she looked innocent, no one dared underestimate her.

"Now that I've done what I came to do, I suppose I should go."

She'd been out for quite a while. If that person caught her again, she'd get another beating… and she wasn't even sure if her stuff had been eaten in her absence...

She recalled the crystal that had slowly enhanced her power.

Though it seemed to go against her intended path of evolution, she didn't really mind.

As long as she grew stronger, why cling to some lofty notion of becoming the Demon King of Pride?

Besides, she had a hunch that her nasty master liked this current form of hers.

By the way, Digimon didn't really have concepts of gender. But since their world mirrored the human one, appearances were gendered. Upon arriving in the human world, she could form a true body—and perhaps gain a real gender identity at that time.

Since her master was satisfied with this form, there was no need to change.

At first, she hadn't liked the idea of having a master—her pride made that hard to accept. But as long as it didn't restrict her freedom and came with benefits, she wasn't about to complain.

More importantly... she couldn't beat them.

If she could, would she still be calling someone else "master" so humiliatingly? Of course not!

She would've squeezed them dry and used them to level up!

"Your purpose?" Sirzechs repeated instinctively, frowning slightly.

What was her real goal? Did she tamper with something in the Underworld?

He looked toward Ajuka and Serafall. They shook their heads.

They had kept their eyes on her the entire time.

But if she had done something while evading their notice, that was another matter...

Then Lucemon said something that left Sirzechs stunned.

"Obviously, to find the Lucifer and beat him up!"

Sirzechs: "???"

Serafall: "..."

Ajuka: "..."

Serafall and Ajuka gave Sirzechs a look full of sympathy.

Honestly, anyone would lose their composure if someone like her suddenly targeted and clobbered them.

Sirzechs sighed, not wanting to dwell on it anymore. He simply said:

"If you're heading back to Kuoh Town, you can go with Serafall. I was planning to send her there anyway... and maybe have her pay a visit to that so-called master of yours..."

Lucemon was always proud and never bothered hiding anything. If you asked, she might tell you depending on her mood. If not—too bad. Go ahead and try to make her talk. That was basically her attitude.

So Sirzechs had heard a bit about Ren. He wasn't surprised when Rias brought him up.

In fact, he was planning to make contact. Even if they couldn't win him over, forming friendly ties wouldn't hurt.

Of course, letting Serafall go also had other intentions. The situation in Kuoh Town would only get more chaotic from here on, and it wasn't practical to leave everything to others. Better to have Serafall stationed there to hold things down.

"Whatever... I was planning to swing by Heaven to see how strong they are, but looks like I don't have time anymore."

As she said this, a faint frown appeared on Lucemon's beautiful face, as though she were troubled by something.

Originally, Lucemon's plan was to beat up the Lucifer here, then head to Heaven. But after spending some time in the Underworld, her schedule had clearly become tight.

Oh well… no rush. After all, she was definitely going to stay in this world for quite a while, wasn't she?

Besides, the god of this world was already dead, so she had already lowered her expectations.

She was now wondering how Michael, who had taken over management, compared in strength to her own Three Great Angels…

At this point, Lucemon hadn't yet been sealed by the Ten Legendary Warriors, so her power was at its peak!

Since the Digital World draws from various anime, games, and even novels, it's often a shared worldview but not a unified world, so Ren assumed the concept of parallel worlds.

And Lucemon's world seemed similar to the fourth-generation Digimon setting, though not entirely identical.

Lucemon knew there was a Yggdrasil above her world, and she also knew of the Royal Knights. However, the fourth generation never explicitly referenced Yggdrasil. Although two Royal Knights appeared, they acted as Lucemon's subordinates, which clearly didn't fit their usual identities.

So now, her world could only be considered a parallel one similar to the fourth-gen Digimon.

Sirzechs: "…"

Serafall: "…"

Ajuka: "…"

Listening to Lucemon's words, the three of them broke into a cold sweat.

This girl… she's a total walking disaster.

She's not an angel—she's a fallen angel, isn't she!?
