Chapter 3 : The Journal's Clues

The next morning, I was sitting in my room, holding the journal. I was thinking about what had happened the previous night. As I was flipping through the pages, I noticed something odd.

There were some hidden words on one of the pages. I held it under the light, and a sentence slowly appeared: "Follow the mirror." I was confused. What mirror? Where?

I ran to the hallway and stared at the tall mirror beside Grandpa's study. I stood in front of it, waiting. Nothing happened. I touched the mirror. Still nothing. Then I noticed something carved faintly on its frame: "Knock twice."

I knocked on the mirror — once, twice. To my shock, the mirror shimmered and the reflection changed. It no longer showed me — it showed a dark room, full of books and old furniture.

I stepped back, my heart racing. I called out to Zeeshan. "Come here, quick!"

He rushed over, saw the mirror, and his eyes widened. "Whoa... What is this?"

"I think this is what the journal was talking about," I said, still staring at the reflection.

Zeeshan looked at me. "Are we going in?"

I nodded slowly. "Yeah. We have to."

We both reached for the mirror—and in a blink, we were gone.
