Echoes Through the Screen

As Kin Ouren's soft voice filled the livestream, comments began flooding in.

> "KIN! Is it really you?!"

"I've waited so long for this moment…"

"His voice hasn't changed… it's even more magical now."

"Who's that handsome man beside him?!"

"Please tell me this is not a dream!"

Within just 15 minutes, the livestream crossed 1 million views.

> 1 MILLION!!!

Kin Ouren is BACK!!

The voice of an angel.

Sobbing… I missed this so much.

The stream reached thousands more within moments. Kin performed two of his old songs—gentle, heartfelt ballads that once touched millions. Then, after a brief pause, he began to sing a new song—one that he hadn't shared with anyone. One that he had written for Vixen.

His fingers trembled slightly, but Vixen tightened his grip, silently reminding him—I'm here. Always.

Kin smiled into the camera.

> "This is for the one who held my hand when I was fading…

Who walked into the dark just to find me."

As his song poured out, even Shen Seizan, sitting nearby, felt a tightness in his chest. He looked away, letting Kin have his moment.

When the stream ended, Kin closed the laptop slowly. Silence fell in the room, heavy yet full.

"Kin," Vixen said softly, brushing Kin's hair back, "That was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen."

Kin turned, his eyes moist. "They still remember me… after everything."

"They always will," Vixen whispered, pulling him into his arms.

That night, the three shared dinner together—simple dishes cooked by Vixen, laughter shared by Shen, and warmth flowing between them.

But as midnight approached, an unsettling silence began to grow again. Outside, wind howled slightly, and the moon was half-shadowed.

Suddenly—

Kin's nose twitched.

A scent. A foul, iron-like smell.

"Do you smell that?" Kin whispered.

Vixen stood up instantly, his alpha senses sharp. "Stay here."

Shen followed, flashlight in hand.

They stepped outside into the courtyard. The trees rustled ominously. Vixen extended his hand and released a small burst of divine pheromone, cleansing the area.

At first—nothing.

Then, from the far corner of the courtyard, a low growl.

Vixen's eyes narrowed. "Something's still lurking."

Back in the house, Kin closed the windows and clutched a protective charm the monk had given him. He could feel it—something was circling them, watching, waiting for a crack in their protection.

But this time, Kin didn't panic.

He pressed a hand to his heart and whispered,

> "I'm not alone anymore."

And outside, the shadow retreated…

…for now.
