"Is he crazy? He's just now starting to drive?"
"Was he asleep before or something? It's too late now—he's surrounded!"
"Wait... maybe this is a chance! With all those zombies chasing the truck, we can use this chaos to relocate. Every other street might be clear now!"
"Holy hell, the truck's actually moving?! The horde didn't stop him?!"
The regional chat exploded with disbelief.
From rooftops and windows, survivors watched in stunned silence as the heavy-duty truck barreled through the sea of undead, crushing limbs and torsos with brutal force.
The sheer momentum alone flung zombies several meters into the air.
"This guy's driving THROUGH them like they're paper!"
"Of course! A 600-horsepower engine isn't just for show. That's the equivalent of hundreds of horses pulling a steel fortress!"
"What a show-off. Probably just wants attention..."
But attention or not, the damage was undeniable.
The truck ripped through the horde and left a crimson trail of flattened corpses, many twitching and broken, others crawling on shattered limbs.
"If I had a truck like that, I'd go anywhere I wanted!"
"Keep dreaming. I've found car keys before, but never one that actually matched a vehicle. And even then, finding a truck like that? You'd have better luck winning the lottery."
"Truck guy! Need a girlfriend? I'll ride shotgun and handle navigation, snacks, anything!"
"I'm at Skyshine University! Six girls in one dorm! Come save us, handsome truck man!"
Suddenly—
"Wait... he's coming BACK?!"
Gasps echoed in both the chat and the real world as Lucas Kane turned the truck at the next intersection and charged back into the alley.
This time, faster. More aggressive.
CRACK. THUMP. SCREECH.
Rotting bodies exploded against the grille and splattered across the windshield. The massive tires—each over a meter tall—rolled over limbs and torsos as if they were bags of wet leaves.
Blood splashed onto the glass, but a flick of the wiper blades cleared the mess.
Lupo let out a low growl from the passenger seat, eyes alert.
"Relax," Lucas muttered, smirking. "They can't reach us."
He turned again at the far end of the block and surged forward for one final sweep.
Each pass of the truck reduced the alley into a graveyard.
Zombies that weren't killed outright were mangled—folded in half, legs snapped at grotesque angles, dragging themselves uselessly after the rumbling engine.
Eventually, the number of moving infected dropped to just a handful.
Lucas brought the truck to a stop at the side of the street and climbed out.
The remaining dozen zombies groaned toward him.
SLASH. SLASH. SLASH.
His Tang Sword danced through the air.
One by one, heads rolled.
Then he walked the alley, delivering precise finishing strikes to every twitching corpse.
The regional chat fell into stunned silence.
"Wait... he wasn't showing off?"
"He was farming zombies... like, on purpose. Using a truck as a weapon!"
"It's brilliant. Fast. Safe. Efficient. This guy's on a whole other level..."
"We were all busy trying to hide from zombies, and he was figuring out how to kill more of them. That's the difference between survivors and warriors."
"Boss, need a follower? I'll pull my weight, just let me tag along and scoop the leftovers!"
"He doesn't even talk... Man of action. Respect."
"Wish I could see his face... I'd DM him in a heartbeat."
Lucas ignored all of it.
He didn't have time for idle chatter.
Daylight was for growth. For power. Not for gossip.
He moved from body to body, triggering the system's collection interface.

Lucas sighed.
Most items had been severely damaged by the truck's repeated passes. Only the core materials had survived: crystals, fertilizer, and cloth.
Still, the crystal count made it worth it.
"Not bad at all."
He tossed the broken items aside.
Then, with a tap on the truck's hood—
FWOOSH!
The entire vehicle vanished into his storage ring.
Ding! Upgrade conditions met.

Upgrade now?
Lucas didn't hesitate.
"Upgrade."
