Chapter Four: Domain Expansion

In the Morning

The sun shined bright in the garden of Majutsu High, the team, Haruki, Toma, Sayuri and Jūzō along with Akira and Sensei Himuro Sae came out into the garden.

Haruki and Toma sat on a bench close to the shades in the garden. Akira stood close to Himuro Sensei, she had grown close to her for offering them a place to live.

"Ok, newbies, it's time to train,"said Himuro Sensei.

"Today you will train how to use your cursed techniques in battle. These are the rules; The first to get three hits on the opponent wins, if your attack is caught by the opponent, you will use one hand,"she added.

"One hand?,"Sayuri pointed out.

"How is that even possible?,"Jūzō added.

"It's possible only when you know how to use do that, and you can only know how to do it when you practice it, now take your positions and start on my signal,"she said.

"Ok, I guess,"Sayuri stated.

They walked to the garden and took their positions, looking at each other in the eyes with carefulness.

"This is gonna be easy,"Sayuri boasted.

"You sure about that?, Think again,"Jūzō added.

"I'm going to kick your ass real hard,"Sayuri joked.

"Not if I kick yours first,"Jūzō said.

Sayuri stood straight visibly annoyed, eyes rolled, arms crossed.

"You're really gonna kick a girl's ass?, Really?,"

"I'm sorry, I didn't really mean that, it's just a figurative speech,"he said a little nervous.

"Oh please share me the talk,"she said.

"I really am sorry—,"he tried to apologise but Himuro Sensei interrupted.

"Start!,"

Sayuri didn't wait, she attacked with thorny vines that would cut on instant contact with anything.

"Whoah,"Jūzō leapt back.

He dodged it all, flipping here and there effortlessly.

"Uh, stay one place flippy,"Sayuri protested.

He didn't even stop.

"He is suprisingly flexible,"Toma said

"Yh, and he doesn't seem to be attacking at all, I wonder what is going on in that mind of his,"Haruki added.

Sayuri was already getting tired when Jūzō landed on rock. Sayuri created a large ball of spiky vines curled together and sent them to ards Jūzō but he was ready, he sliced and flew through it landing a light punch on Sayuri's head.

"Got you,"he said playfully.

"That's one point for Jūzō, hurray!,"Himuro Sensei pointed out.

He looked at her and was smiling when he turned and was met with a fist to his face.

BAM!

He fell to the ground and blood came out of his nose.

"One point for me, pay attention next time,"a boastful Sayuri said.

She cat-walked back to her position with vines on her hands.

Jūzō stood up but this time he wasn't smiling neither was he furious, she shot thorns at him but he magically dissapeared appearing at her back.

"What?,"Sayuri stuttered

"How did you—,"

Before she could speak, Jūzō grabbed her hand and with great force, he twisted it and delivered a shoulder slam.

BAM!

Her back hit the ground with force. The floor cracked beneath her, she coughed up a little blood.

This surprised everyone watching; Toma, Haruki, Akira, Himuro Sensei and even Sayuri herself.

"Such....strength, it's like.....times six of the normal human punch,"aching Sayuri said to herself

"Careful guys, remember it's just a training,"Himuro Sensei said a little concerned but neither listened.

Sayuri stood up staggering a little before gaining balance.

"Hey....I'm gonna make you pay for doing that,"she said.

Sayuri covered herself with leaves that became hard like steel, they both luged at each other landing a punch fist to fist and with each fist impact, the ground beneath the cracked.

"Woah, it's like we are witnessing the battle of the gods here,"Haruki said surprised.

Sensei Himuro Sae stayed silent watch them critically.

"THEIR ATTACKS SEEMS TO BE SYNCHRONIZED. THEY ARE EQUAL, ARE THEY?,"she thought to herself.

Both were blasted back by the impact of their punches.

Sayuri became enraged and so did Jūzō.

Sayuri's pupils glowed green and Jūzō's glowed red.

Sayuri surrounded Jūzō with vines and it wrapped him leaving no space to breath.

"I win!,"

So did Sayuri think in her head, but Jūzō wasn't done yet. Suddenly, the vines caught fire from the inside out wards, it was burned to ashes.

"What?,"said Sayuri

"He burnt it?,"a shocked toma said

"Interesting,"said Himuro Sensei

Jūzō's hands grew very hot that it was ignited with fire and it was very hot. He lunged and Sayuri was ready but his attack was stopped, his hands grew icy cold, he saw someone in front of him, much taller but feminine like.

It was Himuro Sensei.

"Control your anger Jūzō, she's not a curse you want to excorcize by all cost. Cool down,"she said.

"Sorry, I lost my cool a little,"he replied apologetically.

"Lost your cool?, You almost got yourself killed!,"Sayuri shouted

"What?, Myself?, You mean I almost got...you killed,"he said confused

"Well duh, it's all the same, if you'd killed me, i would have killed you too!,"

"It's okay, training's done for today,"said Himuro Sensei healing Sayuri with a reverse cursed technique.

"What was that?, How did you heal me,"Sayuri asked surprised.

"That was The Reverse Cursed Technique use only by skilled special grade sorcerors or curses who have good understanding of their cursed energy,"Himuro Sensei replied

"And how does it work?,"Jūzō added.

"It enables the user to fix, regenerate ones damaged part, and not only that, it allows the user to heal others too,"

"Can it be used in battle?,"toma asked walking up to them.

"Of course, the sorceror can use it to increase his or her own strength and attacks too,"she replied.

"In order to do that, you must turn two negative cursed energy together and that will create a positive energy that will heal or regenerate the injured part,"

"Can I be able to do that?,"Sayuri asked excitedly

"No, only skilled or Special grade sorcerors or curses can attain this technique,"

The team walked to the shade and sat on the floor resting.

Jūzō sat beside Sayuri a little bit far away fearing she might punch him or something.

"Sayuri?,"he called, voice low but audible.

"Yes?,"

"I'm....I'm sorry for slamming you like that, I just lost my cool a little bit, please forgive me,"he said apologetically.

She looked at him for a short while and then spoke:

"It's okay, it was just training, and I've got to admit, you are strong, where did you get such strength from?,"

"Well I guess I'm a natural,"he replied.

She offered a fist bump and he looked at her hand before replying with a fist bump.

"Team?,"she asked.

"Team,"he replied.

"Jūzō!, Come here, we've got business to do,"said Himuro Sensei jovially waving at him and smiling

"Business?, What now?,"he asked with a low but audible voice

She didn't reply, she just kept waving at him.

He followed her and they headed into the forest.

"Where do you think she's taking him?,"asked Sayuri.

"Only the heavens know, maybe a Mission or another training,"said Haruki.

"She's always fund of that, expecially if she finds something special in you,"he added

"Special?,"Sayuri asked herself.

In the forest

"Why have you brought me here Himuro Sensei?,"Jūzō asked.

"Because there's something I want to teach you,".

"And what is that?,"he asked

"Domain Expansion,"

"Domain Expansion, What's that?,"

"It's you spiritual sorcery environment brought to physical form, a world inside a world,"she replied

"It is only fully mastered by special grade sorcerors and curses and the attacks are a guarantee hit, no misses,"she added.

"So it's a technique that allows you to bring your sorceror spiritual environment to existence?,"he asked

"Bingo, you really are a smart boy,"

"Can a third grade and other grade achieve this technique?,"

"Yeah, it's possible, a third grade can achieve this technique but it's not gonna be fully mastered and the same applies to other grades too. Unless you've gone through rigorous training,".

The bushes moved like something was in there, moving here and there.

"Here we go,"Himuro Sensei said smiling halfway.

"What?,"

A big tall and muscular dog headed curse appeared in front of them, muscles bulging like they could end the world. He was massive and ugly.

"So, you are the teacher of Majutsu High who always excorcize curses and demons huhn?,"it spoke sinisterly

"What?, A talking curse?,"

"Don't worry, it's only a special grade curse,"Himuro Sensei said

"I'll not let you try any move of yours over me, instead, I'll use my domain against you,"it spoke forming a cursed sign with his fingers.

"Ryoiki Tenkai: Chigiba no Sūkutsu

(Domain Expansion: Den of BloodFangs),"

Then, the surroundings changed from a forest full of trees to a fog-covered battlefield drenched in the scent of old blood and iron. The domain was a massive den filled with growling shadows—phantom hounds that lunge from all sides. In this territory, every enemy is hunted, and escape is impossible once inside.

"You are in deep trouble now,"the curse said.

"What are we going to do now Himuro Sensei,"Jūzō asked a little scared.

"Not to worry, we have a chance of escape,"she said courageously.

"There's only one way one can escape this mess,"she added.

"And what's that,"the curse asked.

She stepped forward and did her own sign.

"Another domain,"she replied

"Ryoiki Tenkai: Hyōketsu Reibyō

(Domain Expansion: Frozen Mausoleum)

The curses domain shattered and the air grew cold,

The battlefield becomes a vast, frozen graveyard of cursed souls. The ground is transparent ice; pillars of frost encase cursed spirits in mid-motion, like statues. Inside the domain, all enemies with malicious cursed energy begin to freeze from the inside out, judged unworthy by the spirit of winter itself.

"How, how is this possible?,"the curse said

"You might know how to activate a domain but you do not know how it works really well do you?, The only way a sorceror can excape his or her domain is by activating their own domain inside of it, then the domains do a tight of war for dominance and we all know, the strongest gets to stand,"

"How dare—?,"it tried to move but it's foot was stuck and could not move, soon it's whole body was still and was stiff.

"Crystal Slice, mutilation,"she uttered and the frozen curse was cut into little piece and buried in the icy ground.

"She's even stronger than I expected her to be,"Jūzō thought for a second

The domain dissolved into thin air and they walked away heading home.

"Jūzō?,"she called out.

"Uhn?,"

"I hope you've learn something from today's encounter and training,"she asked.

"Uh, yes, Sensei Himuro,"

"Good, now let's get home quick, I'm sure the others would be worried, or maybe not,"she said.

"What makes you say that?,"he asked

"You are with me after all, what can possibly happen to you when I'm here?,"she replied

"Right, that makes sense,"he muttered.
