This novel though it belongs to the Rebirth genre, it is a fresh breather compared to other novels in this category. The FL -Mo Xiaoman’s journey from a mistreated, naive girl into a strong, independent woman is highly satisfying. Her peaceful choice to walk away from her toxic past rather than seek revenge makes her truly admirable, even if repetitive family drama sometimes slows down her inspiring growth.The novel beautifully portrays her character development,showcasing emotions and relationships of her with Adoptive Mo parents :Cruel, neglectful, abusive and manipulative nature than her biological parents 's Biased, cold, and dismissive attitude towards her but admist to this her Mo Grandparents were Her true safe haven and only source of genuine love. They were hardworking and thrived to give her all the happiness of the world. This story had potential, it’s a pity. Too much repetition (MC goes to school, goes home, goes on holiday, rinse repeat) The antagonists kept being dragged on and on with not much substance just be hastily killed off as an afterthought The author should’ve called the work a matchmaking novel
I love the story line but I am very sorry to say that the age gap and the way it’s written rubs me off the wrong way. I do understand past help and present help and all of the feelings but still, a 13 year old girl (even if she is mentally an adult) and 20 year guy just seems not right to me and the more way when the guy is eating for her to grow up. Also, why is it always arrange marriage stuff in these stories.?. Since it doesn’t not give me any excitement, I am dropping this novel. However I wish the author would give a very different read and experience to their readers.
