As Tanjiro Kamado simultaneously grasped both the Nichirin Blade and Kokushibo's broken demon blade amidst the ruins of the Infinity Castle, a forbidden resonance occurred between the two Breathing Techniques within his dying body. At the juncture of the heat of Sun Breathing and the chill of Moon Breathing—Time Breathing was born. This gift requires sacrifice: each use etches a "time mark" upon the soul; each alteration of fate results in a backlash from an "echoing self" in another dimension.

The only way to seal them is to use the eight "time marks" on his body as the array eyes and the bonds of those whose fates he changed as the link, to set up the Bagua Time-Space Sealing Array, which has been lost for thousands of years.
