The Woodsman Who Cherished Me

Sixteen-year-old Elena Miller was once the girl everyone in Oakridge Village mocked. Slow, timid, and hopelessly devoted to a fiancé who never wanted her, she had never been allowed to decide what kind of life she wished to live.



But after an accident nearly takes her life, Elena wakes up changed.



When her father is badly injured and her family is forced to leave the main farmhouse, they move into an abandoned cottage beside the old orchard. With little food, almost no money, and winter drawing closer, Elena must find a way to keep her parents and two younger brothers alive.



She repairs the neglected land, gathers what the forest provides, and slowly turns their crumbling cottage into a real home. Along the way, she crosses paths with Ryan Walker, a quiet young hunter who seems far more interested in her than he is willing to admit.



The villagers may still see Elena as the foolish girl she used to be—but the new Elena intends to prove them wrong.
