Power was never meant to be fair.
In a world where strength determines everything, one man is granted an opportunity that should never have existed—a power capable of creating armies, forcing evolution, and turning death itself into fuel for endless growth.
But he has no intention of becoming a hero.
Every enemy slain becomes another step forward. Every resource conquered strengthens his forces. Every battlefield feeds an army that grows faster, stronger, and more monstrous with each victory.
Yet armies alone are not enough.
As his creations evolve, so does he.
Nothing is beyond improvement.
What begins as a struggle for power soon becomes conquest. Kingdoms fall. Ancient factions awaken. Worlds discover that something new is rising among them—an existence that does not respect the order they have maintained for countless generations.
And the greater his dominion becomes, the more terrifying the universe beyond it appears.
Ancient civilizations.
Monstrous races.
Hidden powers.
But there is one problem.
Every time the universe reveals a higher ceiling…
he finds another way to break through it.
This is not the story of a hero saving the world.
It is the story of a conqueror building something powerful enough to swallow it.
Hey everyone, Before you start reading, I just wanted to say a few things about this novel. The Calamity Throne is mostly a story I’m writing for fun. I personally really like novels with fast progression, an OP MC, dark fantasy, conquest, armies, evolution, mysteries, and crazy power scaling, so that’s also the direction this story will go in. The MC is going to become very strong and the progression will be pretty fast. I don’t really want to spend 50 chapters on every small power increase or drag out things that don’t need to be dragged out. But I also don’t want the story to feel completely rushed, so important fights, characters, mysteries and bigger moments will still get proper buildup. I should also mention that this is my first novel, so don’t expect everything to be perfect. I’m still learning while writing it and there will probably be mistakes or things I could have done better. And just to be open about it, I’m also using KI to help me with the novel. I use it for things like brainstorming, organizing ideas, worldbuilding and helping me with the writing itself. So I’m not going to pretend that every single sentence was written completely by myself. At the end of the day, I’m really just doing this because I think it’s fun and I wanted to create the kind of story that I would enjoy reading myself. So if you like OP protagonists, fast-paced progression, dark fantasy, conquest, large-scale power growth and an MC who isn’t exactly a hero, you’ll probably enjoy this. Hope you have fun reading The Calamity Throne.
