Jiuling was once the daughter of the crown prince, the princess of a nation. She specialized in medicine and incredibly intelligent, and yet she was murdered. After her death, she actually ended up reincarnated into the body of a distressed orphan girl, Jun Zhenzhen. One of these days, Jiuling was going to go back to her killer and get revenge. However, she had urgent matters at hand that needed tending to, trouble of which was left to her by the previous owner of Jun Zhengzhen.
Jun Zhenzhen was a simple-minded person, an unruly and distressed orphan girl. She hoped to rely on the marriage that her grandfather had arranged and marry the perfect husband in the hearts of many women - the young master of the Ning family. However, the Ning family completely abandoned her and was unwilling to go through with their arranged marriage. Furious, Jun Zhenzhen wanted to pretend to hang herself, but she ended up really dying. Thus, arrived Jiuling.
Having taken Jun Zhenzhen's body, Jiuling quick-wittedly resolved the difficult situation and saved the Ning family from embarrassment and also stood up for herself. Unfortunately, this little feat was just the first step on her long road to accomplishing her revenge...

This month, I had a bit of fun, but as expected, I'm getting older and found it both exciting and somewhat strenuous.


I'm very satisfied with the result, but most importantly, I am grateful.


Unexpectedly, there were new faces like Baoyu, Tianyu, Bing Yi from the south, Zixing Yiyue, Yinchen, Xuewu, and familiar ones such as Douzi, Miss San Yue, Granny Mu, and many others who greeted me, saying this is what we need to do—and they did it.


There were many people, those I knew and those I didn't, those I could see and those I couldn't but heard about, new friends and old, in our book-reading groups, working together, fully committed in the monthly ticket and red packet sections.


Because achievements don't fall from the sky, every step taken isn't achieved alone; it's the result of many people working together, many forces combined.


But after stirring things up a bit, satisfying that greed, it feels right to calm down a bit. In the end, battling for rankings is really about competing with the tycoons. For me, it's a form of recognition and excitement, but it's also a drain. I can't bear to see everyone spend so much.


Reading should always be a pleasant activity, a way to seek tranquility amidst the busyness of work, study, and life. These votes and ranking battles are extra, an excessive hassle for everyone. It's a face you give me, not a duty or obligation you should carry.


Still, having entered this Jianghu, I ought to give it a good fight at some stage. This effort is also based on the right time, place, and people. It's not something you can just jump into anytime, anywhere. As Miss Jun says, courage without rules is not bravery; it's recklessness.


So let's return to our original goal, aiming for just tenth place and nothing more.
