The bell, during primitive society, was an extremely important ceremonial object, initially made from wood, bamboo, or clay, and unified into bronze casting with the advent of the Bronze Age.
So-called bell tolls and cauldron meals, sovereign power reigns supreme.
In the earliest Taoist culture, there was little mention of this artifact. Later, when Buddhism spread to the Middle Kingdom and quickly localized, the bell became a symbol of the temple. The morning bell and evening drum, the divine halls of Buddhism, evoke reverence for the spirits and add a mysterious atmosphere to the lotus realm of Buddhism.
Then Taoism emerged, and gradually also began using bronze bells, known as Tao Bells.
